always trim the ends of the potatos and poke it with a fork or knife and cook it at 350 degrees, for 40 minutes or 400 degrees for 30 minutes... I also rub canola oil over the potatoes for crispy and delicious skins and u can add some salt to the outside toos if u want and wrap them in tin foil and they are resturant quality...

Poke your potatoes with a 2-prong fork to release the steam. Then bake them anywhere from 325 F to 450 F depending upon what else is in the oven. If nothing else, I like 425 F so the skin gets crisp while the potato gets fluffy. I really can't give you the amount of time (around 45 minutes to an hour) because it depends upon the size of the potato as well as the temp. No need to preheat the oven.

First, wet the potatoes, poke 2 holes in each one with a fork, and then wrap them in tin foil. Then, put them in at about 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. When you take the potatoes out, make sure they are soft when you press them.

425 degrees for about an hour. Poke holes in the top with a fork to about 1/2 way down. You can also microwave them for about 4 minutes and then bake them if you want them done quicker.

325 wrapped in foil with the shiny side in (yes one side is shinier than the other!) for an hour for a medium potato. The bigger the potato, the longer the cooking time. I check for doneness by squeezing.
