I would dust the raisins with some of the flour you'll be using in the recipe, then chop away. The flour helps them to not just stick together or on your knife.

E-1, E-2 and so on through E-9. Then you have WO-1, WO-2 and WO-3. After that, you have O-1, O-2 and so on through O-10. Now, if you want to know what those means, it would depend on the branch of service you are talking about. In the Air Force, you have Airman Basic, Airman, Airman First Class, Sergeant, Staff Sergeant, Technical Sergeant, Master Sergeant, Senior Master Sergeant, and finally Chief Master Sergeant. Then the WO's or warrant officers, but there aren't any in the Air Force, used to be, but not any longer. The for officers, you have Second Lieutenant, First Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel, Brigadier General, Major General, Lieutenant General, and finally General. Each branch of the military has their own names for each paygrade, but the paygrades are all the same.

Much the same way you do parsley. Squeeze them into a ball and then chop. Once chopped one way, they chop easily the other, and they will, as does parsley, become unrestricted.

put them on a chopping block, put a VERY thin coating of olive oil on the knife and chop like you would onions or bell peppers. If you don't have olive oil you can use vegetable oil - just remember to use a VERY light amount on knife blade.

I agree with BusyMor...but you might want to try the food processor as well and give it a couple of pulses to prevent sticking to the blade.

Use the food processor. Just put them in for a short few seconds. You can also use a blender for a couple seconds.
