Jesus told his disciples to take bread and wine in memory of him, the Apostles carried on this memorial service in the ecclesias/churches.

Jesus said: "Do this in remembrance of me."

Chalices, goblets, pilsners, snifters, mugs, pints, tulips, wheat beer glasses, wine and flute glasses... there are tons out there, which is your favorite aesthetically and which in function?
Personally I like Large, heavy weizen glasses for aesthetics and how beer looks in them, for function I have trouble picking one.

They're wedges, it says to put them in the oven for 18 - 22 mins, but even after 30 mins they're still hard in the middle, is it a good idea to fry them in a wok after it with a little oil, and some cracked pepper and garlic...??

I need to make some smallish ice blocks in my freezer at home as they last longer than ice cubes. What is the best common container to use in the freezer that will not explode, crack, etc.

styrofoam cup? or will it crack before completely freezing spilling the water?

plastic cup? crack open before completely freezing?

zip lock bag? leave it unzipped (sitting upright of course)

soda can with top cut off?

what do you think would work best? or is there something else I already have at home that would work better?

I want to make a pumpkin cheesecake tonight; but it calls for i can of evaporated milk. And i don't have that. What are some substitues that won't make the pie to watery, or un-creamy (if that's a word :)

Thanks and Merry Christmas!

For Christmas eve, I'm having a couple of friends over for vegetarian lasanga because I'm a vegetarian. I'm going to do that and a couple of side dishes, and I have time to plan a desert too although I could ask one of them to do it, I would kind of like to make a pie myself, but I do an apple pie every year. Then there is pumkin pie but it's kind of predictable and I'd have to use the canned filling, so it would taste like everyone else's pumkin pie. I don't want fruitcake or anything soaked in booze. I'm a really good cook but I need ideas.
