first of all, you are trying to turn apples into oranges, you just can't do it. Grams are a measurement of weight, Cups are a measurement of mass or volume.. so 1 cup of water would have 250g while 1 cup flour might have only 200g. Water is the standard weight to volume conversion in metric. 1ml of water = 1 gram. so 250ml (1 cup) water weighs 250 grams, or aprox 8.5 ounces *1 cup plus 1 tbls*
So if the recipe gives a measurement in grams, you need a scale or a conversion of weight to volume. Kitchen scales are rather cheap and you can get one to use "once in a while" at dollar stores, walmarts, etc, while a chef or cook would require the more expensive, heavy duty models from cooking suppliers or high end kitchen supply stores.
My source is... Im Canadian, and had to learn metric in grade 4 after learning standard units, (before grade 4) many many many years ago. LOL

Calm down, honey..........I'll be more than happy to help.....since you use metric instead of "cups and teaspoons" I understand your frustration.........
A standard Americanized "cup" liquid is 8 fluid ounces
A standard Americanized "cup" of dry, solid units is 8 ounces....
This might help you with the Americanized units that you're looking for.....
