When I was a kid and when I first tasted beer to me it was the nastiest crap there was and when I asked my parents why they drink it they were like "Its an aquired taste" well its been more than 13 years since that day and I've been drinking it every chance I've gotten but it still tastes like cow piss to me.
Am I doing something wrong?

Years ago I recall buying these pink and white small steamed buns/cakes which were served with brown sugar. I bought these off a makan kart. Any ideas on what these are called?

Also egg bread - is that still sold in Singers?

I turned my oven on yesterday to bake some bread and after 10 minutes realised the bread was not cooked!?? The fan is still going as normal but it is just blowing cold air. Has this happened to anyone? and isthere any way to fix it? I don't know if there is some sort of thermostat or fuse thats

I've always made pie crusts with Crisco and they are fabulous. In Greece however, findng Crisco is like finding a needle in a haystack. I've tried using margerine or butter but the pastry always turns out a bit hard and not crumbly like with Crisco. Anyone have any solution?

I'm planning on making doughnut holes, and it says to deep fry them in equal amounts of olive and vegitable oil. Does it matter if it's half and half, or can i just use all vegitable oil? & what does the olive oil have affect on the final results of the doughtnuts?

In my school we have to do a 10 page research paper on a contraversal topic. I chose animal rights stating that we should outlaw slaughter houses and only have locally grown animal bi-products because of the cruel way the animals are treated in the slaughter houses. I live in the Northern Ca.(say San Francisco and north) And I need 2 people to interview ( pro and con) any ideas? Much appreciated Happy Holidays!

It seems like one of our family recipes has vanished from our family and I want to try to reconstruct it.

Our recipe had apple sauce, dates, nuts and the candied type mixed fruit (not dried in the sense like raisins but more like sticky some what wet-like that came in a jar or package).

got any good freeze ahead recipes? need some for the hubby to just pop in the oven or microwave(which would be best) when i work late before he goes off to work third shift.
nothing too extravagant, but individual servings of soups that freeze well or casseroles something like that. thanks!
