There is a vegetarian group that is meeting and I found out through a friend that they allow people to bring boiled eggs to a potluck. They claim that eating eggs is not cruel, but they are in need of being educated. The reason I say this is because most eggs are not cruelty-free.

I am thinking of going to the next potluck with some picket signs with pictures of egg-laying hens confined inside battery cages in total darkness. The pictures were taken with an infrared camera. I want these so called "vegetarians" to know the truth about. Vegetarians like these are giving us real vegetarians (the vegans) a bad name.

The reason I say this is because meat eaters use the whole egg thing to justify eating meat. Meat eaters will say "Oh, I know a person who says they are a vegetarian, but they eat eggs". This is why I think we should become vegans because it doesn't give the meat eater anything to use to try an justify their lifestyle.

Someone at work today brought one. I was a little leary, but tried it and it was great. It was like a regular pecan pie, but there was coconut added in. Tasty.

I have to chop lots of parsley and currently I use a chef's knife with a cutting board and it works great, but it is not a very good way when you have to chop a lot. I have a 5 gallon bucket of parsley to chop. I am going to make tabouli for the homeless. I do have a food processor, but I don't want to use it because it ruins the texture. The vegetable chopper I have gives it he right texture, but it can only chop a handful of parsley at a time and that will take me forever. What would be nice is if I could find a large vegetable chopper that could chop large amounts of parsley at one time.

i have been a vegan since may and all my family understands and dont really mind, i eat enough and all that
but i have one cousin..she is 13, i am 15..who always purposely (i can se it in her eyes!!!!) offers me food with meat just to get my reaction like today she was like "you want a tamale?" ..they are turkey&she knows it.
then she was like "do you want some rice? " it is rice with HUGE chunks of ham she makes me so frustrated because she does this at all the family getogethers which is once a month
and i know she doesnt "forget" that i am vegan i never freak out and say "OMGGGGGG NOOO GROOOSS."
I AM NOT LIKE THAT i always just say "no thanks ............."what should i do?!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure of the spelling but it sounds like Ter-que-or. My mother and Grandmother have both past and I can't ask them where it originated. If any one out there has any information I would greatly appreciate it. It's a memory I have kept going with my own children. Christmas morning just wouldn't be the same without it. Thanks in advance for any answers.
