This may sound stupid, but....




I was eating chocolate ice cream when a question popped up in my head.

When was chocolate invented?

Chocolate wasn't invented. It comes from the cocoa bean which has been used by indigenous peoples for eons as food and medicine. I think it grows in south america.

Go to Google and type in "Who discovered chocolate" and you will see that Christopher Columbus was given a bag of cocoa beans. However, another article states that chocoate dates back almost 2,000 years when discovered in the rainforest.
