Maybe she is just a blithering idiot. Next time she does it, ask her, with some concern, "Are you all right? Every time you come here, you seem to have forgotten that I don't eat meat."

If that doesn't work, just look at her with intense pity every time she does it and say, slowly. "No [insert name here], I don't eat meat. That includes [include name of meat here]." Go back to eating your tofu or beans or whatever. She's obviously got some problems if she's thirteen and still acting like this.

If you repeat the same line enough, she'll get tired of it.

You really only have two options that won't encourage her.

1) Just continue to react calmly and basically ignore her attitude.

2) Speaking very calmly and patiently tell her that you know she's having a hard time understanding the concept, but you don't eat meat. Make it sound like you're patiently explaining it to someone that is slow.

That second option may or may not work. She make get embarrassed and decide her little game isn't working out the way she planned. Or she may get very angry at you for calling her on it. But if she freaks out, she still looks like the difficult one, so you should have less issues after.

First of all, congratualtion to be vegan at 15 years old and to have an understandable family. Wow... great!!!!
About your cousin, she probably think that you are just doing a caprice and time will show her that you will give up. She think that because its maybe hard for her to understand how you can be right if all other people around her are eating animals. But in fact, if she acting like that, its because she is "curious" and she care about that. You should try to ask her to read a book about veganism (or about animal rights) and discuss that after. Tell her that you want to know what she think about that and discuss that with her, because she is important for you.
Good luck.

Yep, that's annoying alright!

I think sometimes vegetarianism and veganism makes people uncomfortable (or maybe consider their own choices) and they react oddly. Luckily, you have not stooped to her level.

If I were you, I would tackle it head on. Just tell her something like "It really upsets me when you offer me food that is not vegan." or something that accurately reflects how she makes you feel. It will probably stop the behavior - hopefully!

Next time bring something you know she does not like and offer it to her not once but a couple of times, and if she says something. Tell her that's the same way you feel.

Tell her that you are vegan - and do not want to be offered any food with meat in it. Just to remind her, you could make a badge saying 'I'm vegan' then, whenever she offers you something, point to the badge. She'll get the message.

Don't let her see that it bothers you. My sister bothers me about not eating meat and I just kindly reply to whatever she says to me. People like that are usually trying to get a rise out of you, be thankfull that most of your family understands and dosen't mind, some people don't get that support.

hahaha umm just ignore her because really is it such a big deal? she is just messin w/ you I mean she is 13 that is what they do! She obviously is very immature and you must be reacting in SOME sort of way cause if she keeps on doing it she is finding a thrill in your reaction so don't act pissed off just be polite and say nope thanks though! trust me it will pass because it will get old for her soon
