I go through cravings. I can't understand why. Recently it was peanut butter cups- I couldn't get enough of them, and If I am not having a craving for them- I really am not even fond of them. Before it was frosted mini wheat cereal with a glass of milk (not on the cereal). I also went through a Hummus phase, Subway Phase (sandwich had to be made the same way every time), and a whopper Jr. w/ Cheese minus the meat. Jimmy Johns Turkey Tom sub with extra vinaigrette dressing.

When I have these cravings and I eat the particular craved food, it is like it is the best thing in the whole world. When the craving goes away, I could care less about it. It is just so weird. My daughter says she goes through it a little bit but not to the extent that I do.

I am vegetarian but I don't think this has anything to do with it because I was like that before becoming one. Is this some type of eating disorder or am I missing nutrients that these foods provide? Any idea?

For Christmas I am making up a hamper for my Dad. I have got shrink wrap and a nice basket.

I am getting all the food from Brough Market and wonder if any one could recommend a good cheese, and some nice bits to go into a food hamper.

I dont have a budget for this so price is not an issue.

All suggestions very welcome!!

Ethylene glycol makes antifreeze tasty & is excellent at lowering the freezing point of water in the engine. Though colorless and odorless, the syrupy alcohol derivative has a sweet taste that jibes well with soda, juice, and other sugary beverages. So why is it so tasty?

Many are concerned (pet owners and parents) that dogs, cats, and kids lap up puddles of antifreeze left on garage floors. Every year, 90,000 animals and 4,000 children ingest the toxic liquid; if not treated immediately, the consequences of the poisoning can include renal or cardiovascular failure, brain damage, & death.

For obvious reasons, there's been an uproar for safer, less "scrumptious" antifreeze. One solution in the development of antifreezes, includes one by SIERRA, replaces ethylene glycol with propylene glycol, a liquid that's nontoxic enough to be used as a sweetener in children's cough syrup. But propylene glycol costs significantly more than ethylene glycol.

So why does it have to taste sweet?

See if i don't eat i'll get drunk faster and i won't have to spend as much tomorrow for beer, but if i do eat there is less of a chance of getting a hangover, i just don't know. My body weight is such that i need alot of beer to get drunk usually so i'm leaning towards going with out food, but i just want to hear some other opinions incase i change my mind.

Its too late to go out and buy alcohol and I don't want to drink my roommate's, so i went looking in the pantry and found some old imitation rum extract and It smells like nail polish remover, which makes me hesitant to drink it.

Hi,
my family and I are a bunch of health nuts! Even my little brother says his fave food is salad (mine too).

We are used to cooking healthy european style dishes (salads, fondue, english veggie wellingtons and so on) and have never fried, breaded or battered in our lives. We hardly know what lard or burgers are LOL.

Now, our guest has never had anything but soul food.
As we are busy beople and do not have much time or want to put up with mac and cheese, beans, fried turkey or hush puppies,

what is a fair compromise that will please everyone with out having to make many seperate dishes? We need a main course and a dessert.

Thanks so much!!

I'm not big into food or recipes or anything, but I LOVE sour cream. I was curious if there was any food other than Quesadilla's and burritos and stuff that it would taste equally good with? (:
