I am making cabbage rolls (cabbage wrapped around hamburger & rice boiled in water) I want to keep some plain for me because I love them that way, but what can I do with his to add a little more flavor? He usually puts ketchup on them, and I have heard of a tomato sauce to put on them, are there any other things besides this?

Also any additional recipes for cabbage rolls would be great, thanks!

....that you either didnt know existed or hadn't eaten in years?
I feel like i have re-discovered salad and raw foods such as fruits and vegetables and it is amazing! A typical meal for me would have been a piece of meat and rice, or a potato and MAYBE a canned vegetable....

I am looking for a recipe that I saw a few days ago for a simmering fragrance for the holidays. You put the ingredients in a jar and the add water and food coloring, then simmer in a pot on the stove. You can reuse them over and over. The one I saw had cinnamon sticks, cloves, orange and lemon slices, and bay leaves. It was a holiday scent, if you have a recipe that is like this one with a Christmas scent- PLEASE let me know! Thank you and Merry Christmas.

When it comes to cooking skills I would score fairly low. I am trying to get some fish into my diet so I bought a nice slab of salmon yesterday. So I got home and throught to myself 'how the hell do I cook this?'. Does anyone have any good simple recipes? And some advice on what to look for when buying salmon would be great. Also what other fish taste great that you can easily get your hands on at somewhere like a supermarket. I am fairly open to different things and I do like the occasional spicey dish.

My fav snack is nutella on top of french bread or any kind of potato chips (the healthier ones though). My favorite drink is Arizona green tea, pepsi or cranberry juice.
What's yours?

I am having some trouble finding information on this topic. If anyone has sources or personal knowledge they can share, it would be greatly appreciated.

Here's what I have:

Mountain ranges and high tablelands prevented populations from combining until recent technological advances to transportation made this possible .As a result of this isolation, entire regions developed their own styles of cuisines.

The north of Mexico is known for its beef production and meat dishes while Southeastern Mexico, its spicy vegetable and chicken-based dishes, Seafood is commonly prepared in the states that border the Pacific Ocean or the Gulf of Mexico

Most Mexican is spicy and flavorful, a reflection of the hot climate of the country.

Ok, me and my boyfriend have desided to get my parents drunk for new years. They are both ex-state troopers. My dad is a big dude that can really drink alot, where-as my mom is a lite drinker. Raised preppy, girly, never done drugs, never had a drink in her life, never had a drag of a cigarette. Me and my boyfriend can both hold our liquer very well. Takes a lot to get us to throw up but he usually pukes before me. We've been together 6 months and he's thrown up once and passed out around ten where-as I stayed up and chilled with his friends. So we are looking to have fun with my parents. I need help finding something cheap, kinda fruity for my mom, and something hard and not sweet at all for my dad. Me and my boyfriend can find our own stuff. Any idea's for the parent's? I need help getting my parent's to have fun!!!!
