I would definately go with a ranch and then maybe have a2nd choice dip as well - a cheese dip always goes great with veggies!! And most kids love cheese! ;-)

Try a dip that is peanut butter based. You can't go wrong with that and kids. Mixed with honey or raisins or a soy type sauce(kids like the salty taste of soy sauce). Be creative with peanut butter.

Ranch, definitely. Little kids love it. THe peanut butter/honey dip could be a good idea, too -- but PLEASE check to see if any of the little ones have peanut allergies! It's bad form to put a small child into anaphylactic shock.

Keep it smooth. NO onion dip.
a cool ranch stiffened up with sour cream is great.
French dressing is great with vegies.
