After reading johnny-o's reply, I'm not sure that I'm game enough to answer!
However, if you are really looking for Cornish type pasties, I saw a shop in Seattle called "The Aussie Pie Shop". I'm sure they could help. That was about two years ago, but they were very busy so probably still in business.

Not sure if we are talking about the same thing, but there used to be a dancer in E. Dubuque Iowa who went by the stage name of "Bobette". She worked a the the Hilltop Hotel. She had some great pasties, and I'm sure if she had a few extra she would love to share them with you!
