I made a fish pie today (well, tried)

Screwed up all the ingrediants weights etc.

Not any old fish pie, but one where I had to juice and grate Lemons, finely cut garlic cloves, skin haddock etc etc....

I'm mad as hell at myself.

Any advise (I'll settle for better luck next time)

Arrgggg ....

Wife has gone out for fish n chips for two whilst I clean up :-((

Nutmeg and cinnamon are sometimes intended for diabetes, hypertension and other conditions. Did you experience something like that?

Every time I make lasagna, I go pasta, cheese, sauce, repeat.

But on the box of pasta, the picture looks SO pretty...

pasta, cheese, pasta, meat sauce, pasta, cheese, pasta, meat, sauce, pasta, sauce.

It looks so much prettier, but will it bake well? Do you need the sauce and cheese touching, or does the layer of pasta in the middle suffice?

Thanks in advance.

I have a metal enamel pasta pot and want to use it to deep fry a turkey breast, outside of course.
It's big enough but will it take the 350 degree F oil or will it destroy the pot

I found a pre-stuffed portabella mushroom at the grocery story (stuffed with spinich, cheese, bell peppers and onions) anyway... i am going to bake it ... do i need to put some butter or olive oil in the pan? Should I add any other seasonings? This is my first one... and I like to start soon...

Michael Vick did a terrible thing. He hung, drowned, tortured and forced dogs to fight.

Now, I ask you, how is that any worse than what our meat industry does to beef, pork, fowl, and fish?

As consumers of such "food", are we not endorsing cruelty to animals?

I am a sophmore in Highschool, and i would very much like to be a chef! I have been thinking about becoming one more and more everyday. I have spoken with family members, and they have advised me to get an education in liberal arts before pursuing a career in cooking.
What would be the best possible way for me to prepare myself for becoming a chef? Is taking a liberal arts course a good idea?

Would we think they were the same? Would a person be insulted to know that they were given a dog treat, instead of a kind-of-old-ish breakfast snack? How do we know that restaurants don't do this just for fun?

I would like to make the chocolate no bake cookies that use oatmeal, peanut butter, and cocoa powder. I'm assuming nutella would work just as well as peanut butter in them, but I just wanted to make sure. Anyone 100% positive?
