Danish is a round/oval shape- will come with cream cheese, or a fruit filling. An Eclair is a cylinder/ log shape. The eclair is filled with a pudding/ custard and topped with chocolate. Both are yummy!

A Danish is usually made with yeast roll dough, with a fruit or other filling, shaped and typically fairly flat.

An Eclair is a long cream puff (choux paste) with a cream or custard filling and often with chocolate glaze.

First the pastry is different; eclairs are choux (sp?) pastry.
Danishes are folded over fruity filling, sometimes slashed.
Eclairs are stuffed with cream custard & chocolate coated.
