Any ideas for 60th birthday for my dad? my sis wants to have coffins everywhere whereas I want fun decorations, like a cake with his baby picture on it. Ideas??

Which is better, leaving food on the counter to cool, or putting them in the refrigerator to cool ASAP?

My roommates mother told her that putting food in the frig too quickly will cause food poising, but my mother always said to put it in the frig as soon as possible.
I know you are always suppose to listen to your mother, but which one do you listen to?
A link to a good source would go a long way to proving who is correct.

I want to become a vegetarian but ...?

...We eat chicken practicaly every day. (In one way or another.)

I already don't eat any red meat, fish, or meat that comes from a pig. All I eat is chicken and turkey.

I do like chicken but I have strong willpower, so that's not a problem, but I don't want to cause and inconveince to my dad or stepmom. Should I just eat it but when given a choice, not?

I am turning 16 and want to do something different, but not hold a big party, any ideas?

What would you pay someone to....?

organize/plan meals for two weeks at a time, create a shopping list, and cook two weeks worth of meals in your kitchen, clean up, and freeze/store the meals for your use. I have an opportunity to make some much needed extra money by meal planning, cooking for a family of four for two weeks at a time. If you were in this position, what would you be willing to pay?

Is it ok for me to eat 2 granola bars a day?

I have grown increasingly fond of granola bars. Quaker, 90-100 cal. and Nature Valley types. And I love the organic Trader Joe brands too. Is it ok if I choose this as a snack more than once a day? I mean I also eat fruit and veggies and stuff, but lately I have just really been into granola bars, plus I feel like I am hungry about every 2 hours.I am 5'3" about 105 lbs. Please advise.

what's the best way to get rid of burnt popcorn odor in the house?

i burnt microwave popcorn yesterday. i got the odor out after a while. it was my bad. what's the best way to get rid of burnt popcorn odor fast next time? the odor lasts for ever.

Funny Note: the fire department went past my apartment. i thought they were coming because of me, cause the smoke was so bad. they didn't though. they went someplace else down the street.
