...We eat chicken practicaly every day. (In one way or another.)

I already don't eat any red meat, fish, or meat that comes from a pig. All I eat is chicken and turkey.

I do like chicken but I have strong willpower, so that's not a problem, but I don't want to cause and inconveince to my dad or stepmom. Should I just eat it but when given a choice, not?

Thanks.

These are all your choices to make.. You could be frank with them and tell them you would like to be vegetarian.. Or Not . Its up to you.

If you want to become vegetarian you can choose to not eat the chicken. Maybe you could try eating the other things that are served with the chicken without actually eating any meat. That way you would not be inconveniencing your parents. You could also prepare your own "meat" part of those particular meals. There are some great meat substitutes out there that can be microwaved. This also eliminates a lot of inconvenience for you as well.
Also, some vegetarians do eat chicken and fish. That however is totally up to you. Just DO NOT let yourself get away from getting enough protein. If you start to feel tired or sluggish you may want to get some of the protein shakes. They really help.

After becoming a vegetarian, I started doing most of the cooking. My parents want meat, but since I don't prepare it, it is rarely on the table. Both are against vegetarianism and don't really like to cook. So in a way I have it easy.

It depends on if you really are focused on becoming a vegetarian...If its because of being healthy then eating chicken and turkey is good..cutting out the red meat is the most important thing..good luck

If you are going to become a vegetarian then you need to give that up. There are many things that replace the nutrients provided by meats. Things like broccoli have a lot of protein as do nuts.

If you like chicken nuggets or patties, there are these little patties and nuggets that look just like the real thing. They taste very similar to the real thing also. My family tried them and couldn't tell the difference. So when you need a 'chicken fix' try those. I think morningstar farms makes them

ive been a vegitarian for about a year now, and i just cook for myself (im a teenager)
i normally take whatever non-meat my mother makes, and cook somthing to go along with it
tofu is great. i live in a small town, so i cant find a lot of specialty veg foods like you can in a city, but you can find tofu at almost any chain grocery store. its full of protein
remeber to eat lots of fruits and vegtables. it sounds obvious, but when i first became a vegitarian, i ate mostly pasta, and threw me totally out of whack.
you can stay pretty balanced though, especially when you cook for yourself
i say, go for it

its healthier to be a vegetarian, and there are plenty of people who are

good luck

I think you should tell them to try and cook something else for you as much as possible, but when you have no choice, or your causing trouble..just eat the chicken
