i burnt microwave popcorn yesterday. i got the odor out after a while. it was my bad. what's the best way to get rid of burnt popcorn odor fast next time? the odor lasts for ever.
Funny Note: the fire department went past my apartment. i thought they were coming because of me, cause the smoke was so bad. they didn't though. they went someplace else down the street.

You burnt popcorn?? How funny!! ;) I would clean the microwave with a cleaner. Open some windows, spray air freshener, and maybe light some candles. I never knew burning popcorn could be so much fun!

Don't burn it in the first place....jk You are right a pesky odor to get rid of....put a bit of vinegar and water 1/2 & 1/2 in a cup in the microwave and heat for about 2 minutes and then wipe down. It will take a couple of times. As far as your apartment, try one of the like Glade Oils and burn for a couple of hours at a time (more than that will run you out of the apt. worse than the popcorn odor) you have my sympathy, I HATE that smell

Run exhaust fan over stove (if vented out and doesn't just recirculate)
Burn candles
If it was burnt in the microwave, rub down the microwave (after cleaning) w/ Downy and water.

You can go to a local store and get some refresher like a Lysol spray or a Glade spray. The smell should be gone in no time.

I found that cleaning with lemon pinesol and amonia helped me...
