I've had several lamb bakaras from my local indian restaurant and loved them. Unfortunatly, the place in question is quite pricey and I can't afford to go there very often. Would anybody have a bakara recipe? I've hunted on the internet, and all I find is lists of restaurants that serve it and no recipes.

Is there something about the handling of the dough I am missing? I follow package directions to the letter and pffft... pittiful. Altitude isn't a factor either by the way.

I've checked Sainsburys and Tescos but all i can find is cornflour and Mcdougalls Instant Thickening Granules. The problem is that Arrowroot keeps the soups clear whereas the other thickeners make the soups cloudy. Any ideas???

I used to live by the coast & didn't have this problem, now that we live in a dryer climate, it's a problem, esp in the cold winter.

Even when I store it in a mason jar, it goes hard. If I leave it in the box, & roll the inner wax lining, it goes hard really fast. I keep thinking I have it on hand for baking but it's unuseable, so I keep throwing away almost full boxes because it's gone hard.

This morning I've tried putting a saltine cracker in it to see if it helps (I've seen that done in some containers at restaraunts).
