A friend of mine brought me a bar of chocolate from France one time. It had a pink rose on the wrapping. I don't know the brand but it was the most heavenly chocolate I have ever tasted. It wasn't too sweet and just melted in my mouth. I wish I could find it here in the states

I find Godiva to be just too sweet. And Lindt is tasty, but the paraffin is a bit much for me in the bars - but I do love their dark chocolate truffles. And Hershey's is just like eating plastic, all quantity no quality.

The best I've had has come from a sampler of single estate chocolates a friend of mine gave me. There was this Belgian style Venezuelan chocolate that was about 65% dark - heavenly.

My favorite I eat on a regular basis is the Voseges' bars. I like the Aztec which has cayenne pepper and Ceylon cinnamon. Delicious. Yes, I am a chocolate snob.

I love this question, but find it incredibly difficult to answer. I recently did a review of chocolate for my website www.deglazing.com. I reviewed Godiva, Ghirardelli, and Lindt. I love the Lindt truffles too! I love dark chocolate. The one chocolate I tried that I liked best was the dark chocolate raspberry carmel that Godiva sells. These are so intense. If you like dark chocolate you should try these.

I personally like Rapunzel milk, it's swiss chocolate. Also Green & Blacks milk, out of the UK. Both are organic and use high quality ingredients which I like and can taste the difference.

Also, Whole Foods had/has something called Chocolate Obsession, or something like that. It's a little square of chocolate heaven! Similar to a chocolate pots de creme, but so much richer.

I like dark chocolate, and recently found Lindt's 70% cocoa bar.
Delicious.

When I went to Belgium I went to a small candy making store where they demonstrated to us how they made all the different kinds they sell. Their chocolate was wonderful, and the filling even better. =) I also have to admit that here in the USA I love Hershey's...nothing can beat them. =)

My daughter's friend brought me chocolate from Germany this past summer. It was the kind that makes your eyes roll back inside your head when you are eating it. I have never had anything like it.
