Food & Drink - 2 January 2007

OK this is one of those questions you either going to have no idea what I am talking about or you get it right off the bat!
I used to live in North Carolina and we would get burgers with coleslaw and chili on them instead of traditional lettuce and tomato.
I know this sounds strange but I need a recipe or something. It has a unique taste and I cant get it down. When I try to make them at home they dont taste right.
So I am wondering if there is something special thats done to the meat, coleslaw or chili to give it this unique flavor. So please dont tell me to just make a burger and put coleslaw and chili on it...cause thats not it.
We would find them fixed like this is Mom and Pop type places.
I live back in New Mexico now and no one around here does this.
Anyway any help would be appreciated!!

I'm having a party for my husband this weekend, and I am getting a keg. I have 30-40 people who will drink (some will probably only have one or two). Should I get 1 keg or 2? Of all the parties I went to in college, I never really paid any attention to how many kegs for how many people.

My family likes pepperoni pizza and so we have gotten it three times in the last month. If I eat even just one piece, or say, 3 slices of pepperoni, I have a nightmare. They are usually very vivid, very wierd, and very detailed. For example, last night's nightmare was that my husband was collecting huge quanitites of postage stamps in the garage and I finally figured out that he was using them to send to his many girlfriends in Pakistan and India (???). Also, in the dream, he was somehow meeting these girlfriends on his lunch break. Last week's nightmare was that I couldn't find my 1 yr old baby anywhere. I am NOT eating anymore pepperoni. This happen to anyone else?

I've scraped my mouth on a Toblerone triangle, bitten my cheek trying to navigate a pickled onion Monster Munch foot and yanked out half a filling whilst eating nougat.

Eating crappy food is a hazzardous business. It's not shaped right or it's unnaturally thick and chewy. But I bravely solider on........
