Add just a little water maybe a 1/2 cup or so, place water in crock along with roast, salt and peper to taste and cook all day long until it is falling apart. Also a roast with a bone in does give it more flavor. If you want to add veggies don't do it until the last hour or hour and half of cooking or they will be to mushy! Good Luck!

Put in your crock pot with potatoes and carrots, add Lipton Onion Soup Mix and a can of Cream Of Mushroom soup. Add a little water, cook on high setting for about 8 hours. I do this first thing in the morning before I go to work then it's ready when I get home. The mushroom soup and onion soup mix make a good tasting gravy.

Dredge the beef in flour and lightly brown both sides before putting in crock pot, this helps to make the gravy also. Add one pack of Lipton dry onion soup mix and a can of cream of mushroom soup. Add about 2 or 2 1/2 cans of water. Cook for about 3 hours. Add vegetables if you choose. Add during last hour of cooking. Bon Appetit!!!

Paula Deen has a good Pot Roast recipe for the crockpot/slowcooker. Just go to The Food Network Website. In the search type in Paula Deen's Pot Roast. Then click the link to her Pot Roast. It is truly good. Use the extra broth to make gravy. Put the rest in freezer containers for later use in Beef Stew or if a recipe calls for Beef Broth. I use the extra that way all the time.

On high for 2 hours; then turn crock pot to low. 4-5 hours depending on the size. I like to put cream of mushroom soup on top. Add a little bit of water to the bottom of the crock pot - maybe 1/2 cup.

This is sooo good, so easy and a big hit. It sounds wierd, but trust me...it's good!
3lb roast
1/2 c flour that you coat the roast with and brown.
Put in slow cooker and cover with 1 envelope lipton onion soup and 1 can of ginger ale. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hrs. Add veggies as desired halfway through, or cook separately. Delish!

put it in your crock pot first thing in the morning with onions and mushrooms. Cover with either beef broth or water. Cook on low all day. Then, to serve, remove meat and thicken liquid with flour or cornstarch for a gravy. Serve with potatoes or noodles. I sometimes also add carrots.
