The day after the night before and no matter how much water I drink I just can't quench this thirst.

What is it in alcohol that causes dehydration.

For the first time today, I ate some walnuts, as reccomended by a friend.
They're horrid. The skin is so hard it's actually like wood. I chewed it up and just got nasty sharp shards in my mouth.
I swallowed two to make it easier, but they're the size of golf balls so it wasn't easy. What's the point!

I would prefer to make something, even if it comes out spendy. Any ideas you would have would be helpful. A lady at work once received a pair of slippers from someone that were made out of maxi pads. They even had non-slip soles! :)

We need to know what we can use as an alternative to light corn syrup,which does the same thing,which is more easily available.We can not find corn syrup in the shops.We live in Australia.

I was vegetarian for eight years. Whenever I mentioned this to somebody, eg for dietary requirements, I would be asked to justify myself. I didn't ask meat eaters to justify their reasons for eating meat so why should a vegetarian have to explain their decision?
PS: I now eat meat again, my reasons are personal and I've never been asked to justify my reasons, and quite rightly so.
I would like to hear other people's opinions.
