My favorite restaruant in Houston is HB steak house. They serve this salad before the meal that automatically comes with this orange colored dressing. It is awesome. Its kind of a tangy taste. Anybody know what this is called and where I can get it?
Thx!

Things that have been pickled or cured practicaly last forever. I figured that there would be a few pickled Dodo eggs around somewhere, even if they're a million dollars each. I searched the internet, and someone on some kinda upper-class forum mentioned having a pickled Dodo egg salad. Are there actually pickled Dodo eggs still around?

I just answered 2 Questions asking for good wines at $ 10.

Neither identified which dollars. American? Canadian? Hong Kong? Australian?

The questioners could be interpreted as being American.

Am I the only one out here that gets extremely angry about Americans out here, answerers more than questioners, that never ID themselves as sucg6g7g8g9g/hChDHoAESESFSGSN; HP=1; yanswers=d=ypofgt6InzI21UQ_UtGKbCtQcVzZ30iezDvlt9WugwfJ3Vb0jAjdRB3DhawtdYE4ZGjftqEHZaOHF6qAJOphVe1kpkI-

Background first: My parents and I each switch off Christmas dinner. Last Christmas that it was my turn, I made Jamaican orange-ginger ham, and they thought it was delicious - they like my cooking and are willing (generally) to take chances.

Since leaving college, I have been trying to cut out meat from my diet, as much for taste reasons as for ethical reasons. So I decided to put together a vegetarian Christmas this year.

As follows, in order:

Salad:
Citrus-ginger salad with endive and coriander

Appetizer:
Roasted tomatoes with Stilton cheese, Pinot Grigio

Sides:
Cumin-roasted potatoes with olives and lemon zest
Brussels sprouts with shallots and mushrooms

Entree:
Moroccan spiced pie (Very Christmasy-sounding recipe at http://www.recipezaar.com/154795, although I am cutting out or lessening the harissa as my dad isn't keen on extremely spicy food.)

Dinner wine: Cabernet Sauvignon

Dessert: Cranberry-vanilla rice pudding, Port wine.

(More notes briefly.)

We need help to settle a debate in my family regarding a darling set of new shakers I got for my birthday...
...they are 2 ceramic kitty cats, one is an upright gray tabby cat w/3 holes and the other one is a reclining orange tabby cat w/2 holes. The debate going on in my family is this: Which one is for salt, and which one is for pepper? Can you provide any insight for us?
