Hi,
Im 16 and she's 15
Im sure were going to get married. We love each other so much and she never wants to leave me nor do I her.

Well Im worried because we have such a long time before we get married. I want to get married at least 20 or 21

I dont want our relationship to get boring. What things should we do to keep that "spark of love" up. Should we travel around the U.S. or whatever?
Btw I dont want to have pre-marital sex because I want to save it on that special day. So anything will help :)

I am getting married in Dec (short time since engagement due to fiance's military deployment) My mother is wondering if she can send bridal invitations in/with wedding invitations or is this just tacky. We have family all over the country and it would save money on stamps.

My fiance has been married before, so this would be his second marriage and my first. I feel like every step of the way I've had to drag him along..whether it's to pick a reception place or to pick anything! I've asked him if he was this difficult his first engagement and he's said no. That really makes me sad. Is he acting this way just because he's a "guy" and doesn't really want to be involved in the planning....or is there some underlying reason that i'm not seeing?

My fiance and are will probably get a limo to drive us from the church to the reception, because of how big my dress is it's probably the best way. We have 12 total attendants. If we get this limo, does it mean we have to transport them AND their dates in the limo? I'd feel bad if we could not transport their dates with them in the limo...but then again 24 people is quite a bit to transfer, and I don't think we'll get a limo THAT big. I also dont know what they would do with their own cars in that case? I don't think the church will let us keep the cars there. What have other people done in this situation? Is it rude for just the bride and groom to travel in a limo themselves?

I really wanted to do something creative so I was thinking of doing a well wisher tin. My theme is beach, so I was thinking of doing a white tin pale with blue ribbon and having shell cards for the guests to write there wishes on to us. Does that sound like a good idea? And how will all the guest know to do it? Do you think it should take place of the guest book or can I have that as well? Any suggestions would be great, thanks!

I am selling my pew bows that I used a couple weeks ago on ebay. These ones are pink and white but IF I could custom make them in different colors- What would you be willing to pay? Everyone and the church LOVED them and I got a lot of comments on them but I don't know if I could make them cheap enough to sell them.
So what would you pay?
Thanks!

Frankly, if I'm not invited to a wedding, I do not take it personally because there are so many possible valid reasons (lack of space, conflicts with other guests, maybe I'm not as close as I think, etc.). But some people have actually confronted my friends demanding an explanation of why they weren't invited. Mortifying!! Geez, there are other friends I've had for 20 years I was unable to invite...why do people feel "entitled" to attend a wedding? Guests lists are difficult enough as it is! Not sure how to respond if/when they confront me.

OK my bridesmaids and MOH are wearing the same type and color of dress.

Besides the obvious "she's standing beside you" answers, what ideas do you have in order to differentiate between MoH and the Bridesmaids?

I have a few ideas but would like to hear others.

Thanks!

BTW, the colors are Royal Blue and the wedding will be on the beach. June 2008.

I would like to propose to my GF on her birthday, (Dec 10) unfortunatly it falls on a Monday this year and going all on for her then is not an option. So if you were here would you like it on the actual birthday (for an event to remember) or is just before the birthday okay?

The options
On her birthday i take her out to a fancy restaurant for dinner, romantic with candles and a piano player, and have dinner and after over a glass of suprise champagne - propose to her. The specialness is that it is her ACTUAL birthday - and one she will never forget.

The second option is to take her away to a romantic resort, with a view of the lake and a fireplace.
It would have to be the thurs, fri, sat, before her birthday as the place doesn't have availability.
I would get her the time off, and take her down there thursday afternoon & we'd settle in. Friday we would spend the day together and have dinner overlooking the water and propose there. The specialness is that we're alone
Which one?

i have been to several weddings recently where there was almost 200 people and all were cash bar. i was invited to a "jack and jill" for all. most couples made it clear that these events were for them to make money for their weddings. i was invited to bridal showers where many of the invitations indicated that monetary gifts were emphasied. there were never any bridal registries indicated and it was communicated via word-of mouth that cash was the only option for wedding gifts. i totally understand that parents do not pay for weddings anymore.........my sister is really tight for her own wedding due to this. why don't people do what is within their means? i.e. if you can't have an open bar.......just invite immediate family? treat the guests you can afford to invite really well. what's with the wedding extravagence for people that can't afford it? when i got married it was city hall, dinner for 15 and a good nights sleep in a nice hotel. what's up with todays weddings? please advise.

When one of my best friends got a promise ring (about a year ago) she talked about, but nothing offical, about how I would be her Maid of Honor. Now she has been offically engaged for over two monthes, and ever since the beginning of the engagement, she said I was her maid of honor.

Just recently, she dropped the bombed (nonchalantly) that I would be sharing the title with another friend of ours...

I was immediately offended and she could tell. Later on I called her saying how I felt offended and almost betrayed. She some-what understood but doesn't plan on changing plans and she never even said she was sorry.

If I don't start getting over this... I may just leave the wedding party.... am I overreacting? What are your thoughts?

(And its not going to be a large wedding party. Acoording to her plan it would be TWO maid of honors and ONE bridesmaid.... it doesn't make sense.)

Hi..This is was my original wedding plans..**beach wedding ceremony at a destination location which is the same state but about 2 hours flight & immediately followed by the reception**
BUT the thing is I'm Catholic & after some research I realised it's not possible to have a beach wedding that is recognised by the Catholic Church..
BUT is it possible & okay by the Catholic Church to have a non-catholic wedding ceremony at the beach and then followed by a Catholic Church wedding ceremony/blessings at the church..
And which should we have first? the Catholic Church ceremony followed by the beach wedding? or the other way around?
And does my husband who isn't Catholic have to be baptised before the Catholic wedding blessings?
Just want anyone's views/advice ..or even better someone who were/was in the same shoes..Thank You :)

I've always wanted a beach wedding..the cool breeze..soft wet sand beneath your feet..
And my parents are strong practicing Catholics.

I just answered another posters' question about not wanting a traditional ring and band set as her wedding rings. And the question kind of popped into my mind after answering her, What makes the marriage officially legit? I mean is it the wedding band that seals the union between man and wife or is it more of the marriage license that makes things official for the couple? Also where did the tradition of the wedding band come from in the first place? Because I think I had heard that in the olden times it was just one ring worn on the middle finger of the left hand. But not really sure where the second band idea came from or why they are both meant to be worn on the ring finger of the left hand. Sorry if this is many questions in one, but they are all related.
