Me and my bf are thinking about getting married but not soon. Just out of curiousity for now, what would be a good song for me and my bf (well bride and groom) to dance as our song. We like some songs but we really don't "have a song". This isn't a definate, but if anyone knows of any really good, deep love songs to dance, that would be nice. (Please, serious only)

Im not going to hire a DJ for my reception or any music for the wedding, Im making up some CD's or using an ipod. I just wanted to know how loud are the ipod speakers, would they be loud enough for a reception or do ipods plug into your normal stereo?

I can't explain it but I can't stand when people say "Oh use X it will be so beautiful and really classy!"

Elegant, chic, sophisticated....just not classy.

My wedding is fall of next year. Is it because my wedding is so far off that she doesn't pay attention to us? Am I being unreasonable asking her to answer/acknowledge my questions in reasonable time, like a week? I talked to her twice in the past month and she was supposed to send me various items a few days after that call and two weeks later I have not one email from her. Not even a call. Am I being unreasonable here? How often should she contact me if my wedding is 10 months out?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 6 years. Within the past couple months we have been talking a lot about getting engaged and planning the wedding. He has even admitted to looking at engagement rings on his own, (we do it together as well) and have talked about the kinds of things that we might want to do for our wedding. We are planning our date to be June/July ish 2010 so its still 2.5 years away as we want to wait until we are about 23 and I am completed my schooling. We know that we will make it until then because we have already been together for so long, as well as we have spent the past two years 19 hours apart (because i went away for school). Now to the question, how soon do you think he will propose? The topic has been coming up a lot, and I am getting really excited, but I dont know if I am maybe getting my hopes up. What do you think?

My b/f and I love each other and we've been together for a sometime now and we live together. We've planned to get married one day just not so soon. Well he decided he wants to go into the military and he wants to marry me and have me come along. I know it's a different life style, but I feel like I can handle this. So I'm ok with it.
Every girl would love a big wedding. It's just were VERY tight on money and everyone we know is to.
Plus they live far.
So we decided that we'd go to City Hall and do this.
None of my family or his know about us and him going in.
We BOTH decided we wont mention anything untill were situated to have another wedding but this time with our family and friends.
The prob is I feel guilty for not telling my family. His family wouldnt mind either way.My fam wouldnt be as supportive.
Do you think I should tell them or just surprise them?!?

i was considering ordering some activities to keep the kids entertained at the reception, but my fiance thinks other-wise. he says that some kids may get hurt, by arguing about which colors are theirs, and so on. i know kids get fussy, and easily bored, but i want EVERYONE to enjoy our big day. how can i discuss this with my fiance?

I love candles and have them all over my house. A part of me wants to burn my unity candle and have it set out along with my other candles (not on the unity stand, just out like a regular candle)...should I just keep it whole and in a keepsake box, or is it okay to burn it and set it out with my other candles?

My husband and I also lit a large candle in memory of loved ones who have passed away... same questions apply to this candle

Thanks for the help!

Now before everyone jumps on my back for asking this...I can explain.

#1 It's a morning wedding, 11 AM to be exact, reception will go from 11:30 to 3:30 or 4. The caterer told me it was acceptable as not many people will want to get blitzed before four pm.

#2. I am having the bar run a tab up to $100 , after that ..people can get there own (We may end up not spending that much!)

#3 the reception hall will not allow us to bring in our own alcohol all of it has to be supplied by the venue.

what were your experiences if you have any? My family doesn't drink alot, his family drinks wine or beer...and just having wine or beer for four hours is 1350.00
