Does anyone out there know the "real" reason why different guests faint at weddings?

I'm trying to put a CD together for my best friend who is getting married at the end of the year. We're mainly after a song to walk down the aisle in the church to... Every song she chooses is way too long, so to save editing the song, we're trying to see if there are any others that she likes... Any help or suggestions would be MUCH appreciated!!

Where can I actually walk into and buy fresh rose petals? I swear I have seen them at a grocery store before, but I am not sure. I assume florists might have them but I don't know! Any help would be great.

I would rather not buy them online...I want to see what I am buying before I pay for them!

We went to look at a reception site today and were expecting them to tell us the deposit to book the place was a certain percentage of the total cost (I've heard it could be like 30% or even 50%). We were really surprised when she told us the deposit is only $1,500 (it's a very nice place and a fairly big wedding). Do most places require much more than this?

My fiance and I are getting married in 2 years but are starting to plan now. I was wondering how exactly the wedding rings get purchased. Do we go out together and pick a set and buy them, or do we pick out each others and buy them separatly? Do they sell two-piece sets? I've seen a lot of three piece sets that include the engagement ring, but I've already got that. Any advice? Thanks

ok so for our wedding we are doing a movie/slide show... of pictures of us growing up from birth till the present.. any good idas for a song to put the pictures too.. we are doing this instead of the typical us just standing in front of the church while the song is playing... so this is going to end up being our wedding song...maybe one about us growing up to find each other or something... we both love country music... My FI and I are getting married in June and (for many reasons) we have decided to take my last name. I didn't think it would be that hard, but after reading this story, http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=2778930&page=1&CMP=OTC-RSSFeeds0312, of a man trying to get his wife's last name, I'm not sure it will be so easy. We are out of state finishing school (GA) and are going back home (MO) to get married this summer. GA seems to be one of the states that it's easier for both individuals to change their names...

Any advice?

Should we have a civil (courthouse) marriage here and then having the ceremony in MO with all our family?

I need a cheap, but good photographer for my wedding in blue springs, mo. I dont have any connections. The cheapest I can find is $850 but that is only for four hours and a cd with the pics and the rights to them (no actual printed pictures). Also, I need to know what to watch out for so I dont get suckered into a contract with someone who doesnt have experience.

I have paid for all that I could and my money is out, now she has invited my x husbands girl friend to come. She has honestly tormented for me 7 years and then she was gone now shes back with him which I don't have a problem with, but the harm she has caused me calling me everyday telling me how he said I was this horrible person.. And I raised my daughter with no support and this guy is her step dad that didn't have anything to do with her for 15 yrs. I don't have a problem with him being there, but her I really think I done in with hurt and anger. Right now I'm ready to take her wedding things out of my house to her dads, and be done with whole situation. My daughter has an education and my health is not good right now and what she is doing I think is wrong. I think she is not in the real world right now and selfish . Do you think I'm wrong?

My wedding colors are blue and white with red as an accent color. Does anyone have any ideas for what flowers I can use in those colors for my bouquet and decoration? I was thinking about using roses, (you can get blue roses by dying white ones), but roses can be pricey, so I'd like to know my other options. Does anyone know of any websites that allow you to view different kinds of flowers? And if you've been married, what kind of flowers did you use? Please send your opinions! Thanks!
