There's no limit, but for best compatiblity in the long run probably 15 is the maximum you should consider. Ten would be better. Five is a non-issue as far as I know.

Why any limits at all? Because you have to consider not just the age difference now, but what it will be ten years from now and 25 years down the road. And what if kids come into the picture?

Age does affect things like health (now and 25 years down the road), compatibility of interests, sex life now and 20 years down the road when the older partner might lose interest, whether there are previous kids who are now adults, etc. If the couple has kids, you need to seriously consider whether the older parent will be there through all their growing up years -- and keep in mind that if the couple tries for kids and runs into trouble, it may take five years or more to have kids or adopt them.

There is no age limit on love. The person that you love could be 100 years old and their is something special about that person that you see, you wouldn't even remember their age but all their good qualities that they have to share with you.

My wife is 9 years older than me. She was young for her age 15 years ago, but very much now seems her age.
I've always seemed older than I was in behavior, career and appearance, so it wasn't a big deal when we first married, but now it is a tiny problem, but not enough to worry about or get counseling.

It doesn't matter as long as both parties are of legal age to marry in the State they marry.

It depends on your plans. If the woman wants to have children, the man should be at least young enough to help see them through adolescence, which is now assumed to be in the early 20s. If one has been sterilized, this isn't an issue.

As long as you are both of legal age (and preferably over 21) and you are both compatible and have things in common, it really doesn't matter. My husband is 12.5 years older than I am and we have a great marriage!
