Depending on time constraints and the budget of the bridal party, a couple days in Las Vegas is always fun. You can do pool lounging, spa treatments, nice restaurants, gambling, shows, and clubs, all in one place.

If you're looking to stay local, you might try a spa day followed by a nice dinner and a dance club or comedy show.

I've done both for my friends and have a great time either way.

I answered a similar question a few days ago, and the bottom line is that the bachelorette party doesn't have to be naughty to be fun. Your main goal is to send your friend into marriage with great memories of being single. What's most important is that you're doing something that the bride enjoys. You can go to a great dinner and then see a Broadway show or a concert; you can have a girls night in with fun snacks and drinks, and watch movies and play games or have a spa night (paraffin hand dips are cheap and you can do facials and whatnot). The bachelorette party can also be a day of pampering for the bride and her friends at a luxurious spa. You can also do something as simple as going out to dinner and then going out for drinks and dancing.

If you choose to do drinks and dancing, the MOH in a friend's wedding recently did the following, and it was LOTS of fun: the MOH either bought or made 4x6 cards that had different 'honors' on them -- Cutest Butt, Sexiest Lips, Nicest Undies, etc. -- and the bride-to-be had to give each card to a different guy in the bar and take a picture with him. It took a few drinks for her to find the courage, but then it was very entertaining and all of the guys participated in the fun. The best thing was that it wasn't crude or offensive, but celebrated the bride's single status.

A key thing to do is talk to all of the girls who are going in advance to decide how much everyone is going to contribute. If you're trying to divide up the bills at the end of the night so that the bride doesn't pay and people are hit with a bigger amount than they expected, it will be awkward for everyone (including the bride) to discuss the payment issue because they won't want to ruin the fun. This also helps things to run smoothly when it comes to planning. Good luck!

Well, my bachelorette party was in Vegas with my husbands bachelor party. We all stayed in a suite at the MGM and it was awesome! Not everyone can afford that but I have also given a bachelorette party and here's what I did. I absolutely didn't have strippers b/c that wasn't the bride's style. That's the most important thing....what would the bride enjoy? First, I rented a big van so we had a driver and had everyone meet at my house. There, we toasted and played just a few games. Then we went to one of her favorite restaurants. Then we went out to this really fun club/bar that she's never been to. Turns out on Saturday nights the place is primarily gay men so we had a blast(I highly recommend a gay bar...no one is trying to hit on you and it's just good dancing fun!) I've also been to a party where it was pretty much the same thing, but the hostess rented a nice hotel room where everyone met , had the male stripper and slept over if they couldn't drive. I suggest to really consider the bride's personality...this one was pretty tame, but so is the bride and we STILL had a great time!! It's more about the company and people(not to mention booze!!HA!) that makes a great party. Good luck!

Why not have a day at the spa instead of a night on the town. If a spa is not affordable why not get all of the female wedding attendants including the mothers of the couple and just pamper yourselves. Do each others nails get and give facials, make some drinks, do not have to be alcoholic, have the ladies who are married give advice to the bride and tell her stories about what has gone well with their marriages try to keep it light kind of like an all day slumber party

It's sweet that you are concerning about having a good party for your friend. As for ideas, it really depends on what she likes. For one, I got a stripper to the house and have a small group of close girlfriends over. The other one involved dinner and clubbing afterwards. Oh, she really liked the "penis" cake I got her. For mine, we plan to go out of town & chill in a nice hotel. Then, going to dinner, strip bar and clubs afterwards. For the next day, we plan to chill out by the pool or whatever.

It's perfectly ok to ask your friend what she wants to do. Your job is more to coordinate it and host it for her. Good luck and you are a good friend!

Depending on what all she likes, but what we had a blast doing for mine and 3 other parties was a "toy" party where a representitive from slumber parties came over and showed us lots of lotions and toys for you and your partner. It was pretty neat, so if you think she would like that you should check into that. You can go to slumberparties.com and find someone in your area to come over. They don't charge anything to come over and also the bride will get a percent of what she sells to use for her own wants. Everything is confidental and no body else knows what you are getting.

Well what does she like? Wild nights? Quiet nights? My friends and I are all the quiet type so when our best friend got married last year it was booze, snacks, movies and card games. We had a blast!

my friends and I all got together at a local bar for drinks. that way it didnt cost anyone anything but their drinks and they all took turns buying me drinks. it doesnt have to be anything outrageous because there is nothing she can do dating that she cant do married..at least their should be so its not like shes celebrating a last night of freedom or anything.
