A friend has stains from duct tape (or is it duck tape? I guess that's a separate question) on her skin. Using solvents to remove the stains is not practical, but she is required to display the areas of her body where the stains are located, and it could be awkward. Any suggestions?

a sit down dinner and everybody to dress nice. Most things I see say this is a formal wedding. However, I don't want to wear a big huge formal wedding dress. It is nice but not with a ball gown. I also don't want to wear a veil. Does it really matter to stick to the rules? I mean I find the rules a little shady. What do I tell people to wear? Can I have semi-formal to informal wear and still have it in a nice reception hall?

I've been engaged since November, and I love my fiance very much, but I met an old friend of his (that he doesn't keep in touch with) on a missions trip with church, and for those 2 weeks we really hit it off and seemed to have chemistry. He knows I'm engaged (and WHO i'm engaged to). Now that we're back, and I seem to have a crush on him (I've even had dreams of him at night), what do I do? My fiance knows that I think the other guy is really nice, and he's a little worried. I DON'T want to leave him, but how do I forget my crush, especially when I'd like to maintain the friendship we created? Is something wrong with me or does this happen to engaged women and it's just pre-wedding jitters?

my friend and her boyfriend have lived together for years and are fially tying the knot. they all ready have all the household items they need. Is their a proper way to ask for money instead of gifts? do you include it in the invitation? she's trying not to be tacky or rude about it.

Where did this custom come from? How come people who are getting married always complain about their guest paying for THEIR wedding reception plate.

WE didn't have any input in the planning, but they get upset and look to be reimbursed for THEIR wedding expenses. When I invite people over my house for dinner you are my guest, you don't pay for your plate. Well at your wedding I'm your GUEST.

People who are getting married seem to always be looking for someone to pay for something...they "demand" a gift or only want money. I love to give gifts and i thought gifts were unexpected items.

So do you look to be reimbursed when planning your wedding/reception and expect for people to pay for their plate?

A member of my family has decided to get married out of country (an island)...I understand that the bride should have "her day"..however, is it wrong that her side, not the grooms, can not afford it and her parents are really struggling financially to be there, is this selfish of her?? Most of her family won't be there. AND, what should my response be when I am approached that I did not show up.....she can be really aggressive and snotty.

My fiance and I will be graduating from college this May and will be getting married in November. We are scrambling to find jobs, apts, and planning a wedding etc... Even though money is tight, we would like a honeymoon of some sort, although probably a short one. I need honeymoon location ideas and details about activities in the area. Would love to go to the gulf coast but I think accomodations are more expensive at this time of year. So we will settle for a more local area if we can get some good ideas.

I am broke and can't afford to give money at my friend's wedding. I live in New York and people always give money at weddings. My friend knows I'm broke and said she wants me to come to the wedding even if I don't give anything, but I want to give SOMETHING.

We have to put together a scrapbook about the worst wedding advice received.
One that comes to mind is saving the top of the cake for your first anniversary - disgusting even if it is frozen well.

to a buy a dress that is way more expensive than the brides?
My niece is getting married and has found a very lovely gown for herself (2nd hand). She began planning her wedding 2 weeks ago. All of her brides maids have stressed that they are on a budgetthe cost of the attire presented to them by the bride is $350.. This is more than double what she has paid. To top it off the wedding is in three months and they need to place their order within a week.
These young girls are all highschool or college age. I have one daughter in the wedding and my sister has two, This is an awful lot of money to come up with in a week.
Because the brides budget is minimal herself (She is screaming poverty), I feel that she should come up with something a little less expensive for the ladies who are in no better shape than she is. You can have something nice without going "all out". Some have even said that they would have to decline because of the expense. Now she's mad. Your thoughts?
