The color of a wedding gown, will depend on your personal style, and body color. But I would go with the traditional white, because it looks good on everyone, and its a clean cut color. Ivory has that "off-white" look which looks kinda dirty. Pink, green, and purple wouldn't be a choice for me. But the decision is up to you. Pick a dress that flatters your body, and looks beautiful. Good Luck!

I went with white, but that is because that is what I WANTED. You should do whatever you want. You need to be happy with the choice you make. Even if you go with white, the trim can be in any colour. There is no reason not to have a dress of a different colour, though. I think it would be easier to find a white dress, but you could always have it made specially for you. You will know when you find the right dress. It will jump out at you and you will have no doubts.

Honestly, you are the bride, do what you please! However, I wouldn't go so far from traditional. In a sense, your husband will want you in something close to it. My husband (of 3 months today) knew my dress wasn't "white". However, he always said that he envisioned me coming towards him in a white wedding dress and coming down the aisle like an angel in white. However, my dress was ivroy and chapagne. It was not white white, but not too far from tradition. Skin tone has a lot to do with it also. I would say that you go try on some dresses and just see what you like. I bought the first dress I tried on after I tried on 20 more.
Also, it might not hurt for you to ask your fiance what he thinks. Not that you have to go by that, but to get an idea oh how he wants you to look.
I wish you the best of luck!
P.S. ~ Do NOT go to David'sbridal!

I would have to say white. You can all ways find gowns w/ diff. colors on the trim or whatever, but definitely WHITE! Pink, green, purple, and colors like that are for brides maids and/or quinceniera's (15th B-Days). Just my opinion.

Any color that u feel confident &radiant in, will help u do the magic. The most essential of all criterion is to choose the color depending on ur accessories of course. Any color will look good on young girls. it is going to be the way u carry it.
As far as I am concerned I will ask u choose between pink & white. HAPPY MARRIED LIFE.

I'm wearing ivory for my wedding gown. I also am wearing a colored sash around my waist which is the same color as my matron of honnor.
Do what you want to do. If you want to add color, use a sash, ribbon or something like that. It is your day but remember....don't try to look like a bridesmaid. You are the BRIDE!
Good luck.

I may be older than you, of coarse, I would go with white, only because i wore white. But if you can find an even beautiler dress go ahead. My sister go married about 3 years ago and her dress was an off-color of pink! Off colors are beautiful and calming! Have fun!

White is always nice, but if you want choose whatever color. Its YOUR day. If you like white but want colors look for a white dress with some kind of pattern or something on there in a different color.

It is your wedding day you wear what you want and what you like the best. If you need opinions on what looks the best on you then take some close friends or family along to give you another set of eyes.

my cousin wore a pale pink when she got married and it looked really nice,(she is very pale and didn't want to look"washed out" in white.)
I think it should be what ever you want to wear, but if you going to do a color other that white I'd stick with pastels.
Congrats!
P.S. I'm wearing Ivory
