I will have little princess walking down the isle instead of flower girls. they will have magic wands instead of flowers

Im looking for any suggestions. Party favors, etc...
(wedding will be in April 2009...quite a while away...but i want to get started asap)

Somebody had asked what HE thinks about a princess theme....

One of the whole reasons we thought of the princess theme is because my grandpa (who ment the world to me) always used to call me princess...and so does Brian (my manly man). Hes, he is a manly man.... an airplane mechanic actually.... hes one of the many people who suggested we did something disney at our wedding. ...frankly, i dont think he really cares...and i think hes mature enough to not have a fit over the colors/etc...

as for the date...April 5th 2009.... it probably wont change..its a special date.

1) Why don't you give your little princesses a nice musical intro when they enter the church? I'm sure the musician you hire won't have a problem performing such easy tunes:
So this is love for Cinderella, Part of my world for Ariel, Someday my prince will come for Snow white, A whole new world for Jasmine, Once upon a dream for Aurora, Tale as old as time for Belle...

2) The invitations!
Why don't you start the text of your invitations with "Once upon a time... blah blah blah...." Make it a fairy tale.

3) Make themed tables for the party
You could have each table with a different theme of the movie, instead of just "table 4" or "table 5", you can lead your guests to Agrabah, Atlantica or a Snow White's castle.
In the center of the table you could have miniature castles... (I know that sounds expensive, but it would be awesome!)

4) I would try to relate the parents somehow to the Disney's parents or Disney figures: King Triton, King Stephan, Lady Tremaine, The Sultan... and Fairy Godmother, Flora, Fauna, the Genie... all should be present somehow

5) You could have a romantic Disney's medley to dance after the band play your song for just the two of you

I would carry out the theme thru the whole wedding....you can find the right little girl dress in patterns now. And make your own dress fit the theme and perhaps the groom is Prince Charming? I have seen other theme weddings and usually it is carried out in everyone's dress...at the guest book, etc. Have the guys continue out the theme....maybe use the princess wreaths with the streamers hanging down...and have a ring bearer in the boy prince clothes? Also a castle goes with the princess...perhaps on the cake...or in the reception room....or use the King and Queen idea in the reception dinner.......gold used with pink or other pastels would fit the theme.....also in the runner in the aisle.....roses on the aisles ( could be silk) .....find ideas in the princess accessories in room decorating magazines......tiaras....bubbles.....sheer materials draped.....use a wedding coach to drive away in....?and "Someday my Prince will come?"

I don't have anything specific, other than karaoke at the reception to all Disney tunes --- but just wondering what your man thinks of all of this. Isn't he a manly man? Guys have a hard enough time with "regular" fuss and bother of weddings!
A wedding shouldn't be planned until a year before - too many things can change personally, and with the planning. I realize you must be excited, but my advice is to move the wedding WAY closer!

I am getting married in April and I had originally wanted the princess theme, but I had to change it becasue the favors, etc were very difficult to find. You still have plenty of time, just google and research and you should be fine.

There are little bottles called "Fairy Dust" that you can give to women as favors or give little glass slippers like theses

have cinderella pumpkins (actual type of pumpkins) and carve them out to have the table numbers filled with flowers light from with in with LED cadles

Instead of arranged seating simply have place cards that read Prince Charming and Princess
