Your guests are there to see you and celebrate your union!!! I'm sure they won't be bored and don't feel obligated to entertain anyone, unless you really want to. If you do, then I suggest doing something that has some meaning to you or an important member of your family. I just went to a wedding, no alcohol, were the father of the bride is a huge Elvis fan so the bride had an Elvis impersonator come out and sing a few songs. It was really funny and very memorable. If you can't think of anything like that, then I've also been to a wedding and a wedding shower where there was a dance troupe. They did some very cool stuff and everyone really enjoyed it. But honestly, the best weddings I've been to are the ones where the bride and groom really take the time to work the room and talk to as many people as possible-that's what your guests want...to visit and see you. I hope this helps! Good luck!

I read somewhere that this couple had an Italian soda bar. Its non alchoholic but, ppl go up and order what they want & nobody feels like the bride & groom were being cheap. I wouldnt hire anything beyond the dj or band b/c I think that anyone who would be affordable enough would give your wedding a cheesy feel. This is your wedding not a nightclub event. As far as keeping ppl entertained, I would just go with the normal wedding events. Drinking may make ppl a bit more 'loose' but if you hire a good dj/band they will be able to get the crowd going just was well-without uncle earl streaking through the dance floor.... Another thing, your guests will only be as pumped up as you and your husband are; if you two have a great time and enjoy your selves as much as possible, so will everyone else!

It's perfectly fine not to have alcohol available. I'd probably supplement by having 'virgin' drinks available, sparkling water, and plenty of soft drinks and juices. Your crowd may not stay very long, unless all your guests are teetotalers, so don't go overboard on everything post dinner.

A magician isn't my personal taste. I'd probably do something like a band or a good DJ and a dance floor. Remember that it's a wedding, not a child's birthday party, so keep it upper class.

Good luck to you! : )

I think its a great idea to leave out the alcohol for your wedding. As most people have said, if there isn't alcohol, make sure there are many other options like soda, sparkling water, maybe even juices. One thing that would be neat to have instead of alcohol, is have a fondue and different things to choose to dip. My cousin did that for her wedding and everyone loved it because it was something different. Most people in my family have never eaten fondue or seen one, so it was something everyone tried out a couple times that night.

It would be better if you hired a band to play. Dancing doesn't involve drinking. Most wedding receptions have dancing, especially since the Bride and Groom dance the first dance. For refreshments, you can serve punch, coffee, and or have soda on hand. I have been to many wedding receptions that didn't serve alcohol.

Start a dance making all married couples dance, then remove all that have been married less than a year, then five years and so on until the last couple remains. When we did this the couple remaining had been married over 60 years

Do your guests already know each other? You could have disposable cameras so people can walk around and take pictures.

Or have a photographer set up to take portraits of people.

Besides dancing have a slide show of you and yours through the years

or better yet...

Karaoke!!! Always entertaining!

there's no rules that says there has to be drinks at a wedding reception, serve punch and if the people don't like they can get over it. You don't need to make up for not serving drinks of that sort.
