She says she doesn't want a ring, but I think deep down she does. We've been together for over four years. How much should I spend on a ring? I don't make a whole lot of money, but she's put in time with me and I want to get her something. What do I do?

I am printing invitations and not sure if I need to create 2 invitations for the rehearsal; one providing the date, time and location of the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, and another one for just the dinner for out of town guests not in the wedding? Do guests not in the wedding know just to come to dinner? Do I also send out RSVP cards? How do you find out who is attending the rehearsal dinner?

I have a professional degree (law), but I have not yet entered the profession. My concern is that changing my name will separate me from my license (even if I change that) and my education.

My other concern is that if I do not change my name, it will be confusing when I have children. Hyphenating is NOT an option.

Helping a friend plan her wedding. She's not sure whether to have a sitdown plated meal, stations (themed buffet tables scattered around the room) or heavy appetizers. The heavy appetizers would be hearty enough that guests could easily make a full meal out of them since the caterers consider those to be a type of stations as well, so those would be like a buffet but without having to sit down to eat unless you wanted to.

She and her fiance want a nice wedding but they are not super-formal people.

My fiancée and I are getting married in six months in a very small ceremony. I was considering sending wedding announcements to our exes acknowledging our marriage. He and I have both had previous serious relationships with other people and I feel like we should tell people who know us and (at one point) cared about our well-being the good news. Is this weird? I don't want to have that awkward running into the exes thing.

I am approaching my 30s, so I have been out on my own for sometime now. I have ALL the basic stuff, food processer, blender, toaster which all in new to good condition and I buy very good brands- so I don't even want to upgrade. I registered for formal china and stemware but I don't know what else to registry for. I will put bath and bedding stuff on there but I think I still need more things- more choices at different prices ranges for people. I keep going over the list and I have most of the stuff on the Registry check list. I do NOT want to registry my honeymoon because we are not going through a travel agency.
Any one have any alternative ideas and suggestions other then department stores? Keep in mind, I need some lower price stuff on there so I thought going to a funiture store or such would be rude. Looking for creative suggestions- NOT Walmarts ect..

PS- my family loves the registry and it makes shopping so much easier!

When I announced that I didn't want to dance at my wedding reception (I don't like to dance and look like a chicken having a seizure when I do) my family and friends acted like I'd just announced I was going to forgo the wedding dress and get married naked. "What will you do at the reception?" they all asked in shock. Does anyone know of any alternative activities that would be good for a wedding reception? And I don't need any suggestions for dirty activities or anything you wouldn't want to do with your grandparents around.

If you live in the Miami or Coral Gables area in Florida you know the place.
It's this very pretty park on the corner of S.W. 8th street and 57th Ave.
My fiance and I are looking into places that we won't have to pay much for our wedding ceremony to take place. Does anybody know where it is that we would have to call or speak too on this matter.

Ok. i will be having my wedding in about 7 months. We are having it on this HUGE sandbar by a beautiful spot on the river...yes my fiancee is a little bit of a country bumpkin....i want to have it around sunset so that i can have candles line the walkway where we will come down...There is a camo wedding dress that is very cute and my fiancee loves it....would that be appropriate...i think that it would fit really well,....except how would i match bridesmaid dresses so that it looks outdoorsy...yet "cutesy" at the same time?

A question was asked about games to play. I submitted the answer "I never..." and was told I was in violation of the community guidelines because that was not a real answer.

I cannot get anyone from Yahoo! to respond. I'm taking a poll to find out how many people have heard of this game.
