If you live in the Miami or Coral Gables area in Florida you know the place.
It's this very pretty park on the corner of S.W. 8th street and 57th Ave.
My fiance and I are looking into places that we won't have to pay much for our wedding ceremony to take place. Does anybody know where it is that we would have to call or speak too on this matter.

If you're planning a simple wedding with just you, your intended, the minister and two witnesses, you can probably just do it. If it's a public park you're free to make use of it.

If you're planning to set up chairs, an altar or rope the area off in some way, you'll need to get permission from your local parks department beforehand. Look in your local phonebook under city government listings. Start with a number that looks promising and ask the person who answers who you need to speak to about using a local park for a wedding ceremony. It should be pretty simple.

Good Luck!!

I'm not familiar with Miami or Coral Gables, but I have generally found park rental/reservation information on the websites for the City in question, and/or their Parks and Rec departments.

Open the phone book and call the local parks and recreation dept. They can tell you the logistics involved.

I would contact the City Department of Recreation office. They should be able to tell you how much it is or if you have to have a permit, etc.

Do it inside.
