My best friend is getting married in march. I want her and I to take a trip together and spend the weekend just having fun. So i need some ideas of places that are fun.
We live in Toledo, OH I would say no more than 6 hours driving.
Any ideas

How about coming to Canada and going to Ontario's wine country. The closest wine area to Toledo would be the Lake Erie North Shore region & Pelee Island. It would be about a 2 hour drive from Toledo, not counting the border crossing. Alternatively, you could go to the Niagara region which would be about 5 1/2 hours drive time (not including border crossing). I know there are some hotels in the Lake Erie North Shore area that you could spend the night at but if you make the extra trip over to Niagara there are some fabulous places to spend the night there. Some of the Niagara hotels even have spas in their facilities so if you want a massage or a body wrap, it would be a great place to relax. If you go in January, you'll be in the middle of the Icewine festival which is definitely a great way to spend the weekend.

I went to Bowling Green, so I know the area well. My suggestion would be put-in-bay.
Although, when is the wedding? And when do you want to go on your trip (season)?
Also, Niagra Falls is about 5 hours, I think (we drove there for a weekend so its not that bad) and we had an amazing time there.

About 3 hours above where I live CHICAGO! It has some great places and greaT! hotels.

take the train to new orleans. its awesome there...and things are up and going. virginia beach...has a nice board walk and beaches. find a spa to go to?
