We're having a very small wedding ceremony and we want to do a cool wedding reading. It can be fun, it can be romantic, anything but boring.

Okay, so drama is a bit of an overstatement.

My sister-in-law married a guy before us for two reasons: 1) to have kids and 2) to gain inheritance. She was a maid of honor until she treated my fiance and I like dirt at her wedding. She's still in our wedding, but we just made everyone "equal status."

Here's the situation: we are asking her for help (calling people, helping running errands, etc) and she never says anything but "well, I didn't do it like that!" We BOUGHT the dresses for all of the bridesmaids/groom's attendants, and she whines about the cut and shoes I wanted her to get. Eventually I said to screw it and just wear whatever shoes she wanted. If spending $40 for a pair of shoes is going to break her bank, then fine.

It's just getting to the point where I don't know how to handle her; everytime I try to enjoy the wedding, she talks about herself or rolls her eyes.

Question: How would you suggest handling this? I'm not going to kick her out of the wedding, but...

I am getting married in the spring, and I don't know what colors to pick. My fiance likes red, black and white, which looks nice but I am not sure if that will go well with Spring... I was thinking about a nice copper/gold color but I don't know what other colors go well with that either... Can someone give me any good suggestions.

My best friend is getting married and everyone in the bridal party that's over 24 -30 has their "significant other" in the wedding party except for me and I'm stuck with some kid that's 20 and I'm 28. I'm feeling a little mad about this. She and her fiancé like my husband, I'm not being delusional about it, so why isn't he in the wedding. Is this proper etiquette, not to invite your wedding parties spouse to be a part of it?

In April I'm renewing my vows with the hubby but we don't know if we need a ring bearer because we've been married so we already have the rings. Are we suppose to take them off and let the ring bearer carry them or do we just keep them on and skip that part?

we're going to a way-over-the-top wedding at the end of the month. its a night wedding and black-tie optional. We're struggling with what my son should wear. He's not in the wedding party but will be handing out programs. I guess it feels like it'd be easiest to have him wear a tux...he doesn't have a full-suit (and the shoes are a problem) and he'll probably destroy any suit he did have over 6 hours of partying and dancing at the wedding (and tux rental places count on having to clean them). But is it acceptable for a boy of that age?

I am going to buy a mall gift certificate for my cousin's wedding gift. She lives in a city 1.5 hrs away and we don't see each other much. We don't even really know each other that well since I saw her 3 times in the past 10 years, and maybe once a year growing up.
How much should I give her? I am thinking between $35 - $50. How much would you give if it was your cousin.

my soon-to-be wife is upset about my bachelor party...

how do i explain to her that it's normal for my friends to hire a prostitute for me the day before my wedding? its not like i dont know the girl, she's my ex-girlfriend... so theres hardly any risk of diseases.

I'm not that close to my father, so I don't see a reason for my fiance to ask his permission. Does it really matter if he says yes or no anyway? We're old enough we don't need his "permission".

I am thinking of only have my Best friend (30) my daughter (14), and my fiances brother (26) and his cousin (20) as our bridal party. Two problems:

1. I have been told by people that would be inappropriate because my daughter would have to walk with the 20 year old. I dont see a problem with it at all.
2. My older son (10) and my fiances brother (14) will be the ushers, and my son will also double as the person who will be walking me down the aisle. His mom think that I should have an adult walk me down (i dont have a father and my mother passed away a few years ago). I told her that my son is very important and since i was having my daughter up on stage with me, that he should get an important part as well.
Am i right? Or is having children in the wedding party not good? I say it is my day and if i want my kids in it- they should be.

What were the details of your payment plan and did you think it was fair. How would you suggest a new planner to set up payment arrangements? That is the final piece to my business plan. (And it is a pretty important piece)

We bought her dress off the rack since we'd gotten lucky and it fit her perfectly. I was told by the bridal shop that I should just be able to take it to a dry cleaner and they could spot clean the word off the back. But I took it to two dry cleaners yesterday and they both refused to do it on the grounds that they don't want to ruin the dress. It's not huge, but it's still embarrasing. Is there another way to get it off?? I'm getting desperate!

We are getting married in Feb. and close to 80% of our guest list is scattered in different states. In addition, the block of rooms we have must be reserved 1 month prior ro the event (Jan. 17) so the question is this...when to send the invitations to the out-of-towners? AND/OR should we send them a separate information package prior ro the invitations to allow them time for planning? We have sent a save-the-date already (months ago). HELP!
