Not sure what Im looking for here, maybe just some advice, or to know whether my feelings are justified or not, after being engaged for 1 1/2 yrs, my daughter has called off the wedding, 300 people have been invited, the bridal shower was supposed to be today (the cancelling took place yesterday...) you get the picture.......I do support my daughters decision, I would never want her to get married if shes not ready, but I have repeatedly talked to her about this over the last 1 1/2 yrs since Im a divorced myself. I cant believe she waited this long, the time I have involved with this, money.......Im mad as hell! Someone help! I know what your going to say, think of her feelings, not mine. But Im sick of thinking about her feelings when thats all Ive been doing an things turned out this way - now we (parents) have to clean up the mess!!!!

I'm in st. louis, mo. I am trying to plan a wedding under $3000. Our reception is gonna cost $1133, DJ-$445, Photographer-$550. This is everything we wanted in the reception. We only have about $800 left. And we havent gotten anything but the above.

I really want a walk down the asle and all that. But, for our budget I dont think we cant afford it. Is there any other alterntive than going to the courthouse?

I am going for the cheapest of everything that is left to get, and still we are over budget by like $500. We are a young couple and don't have a lot, to spend extra.

Any suggestions. I would be upset if we could only afford to go the the courthouse but, we cant afford: $250 reverend fee, $200 ceremony location fee, $200 for flowers, $250 dress, $200 tux ect.

I have looked and look, and so far the estiimated prices are the cheapest I can get.

my bf and i have been talking marriage.. we r making a big move to a nother state i told him i don't want to go as his gf but as his wife..he told me if that what i want he has no problem with it. BUT.. here's my problem a few years back he was going with this girl she also talked marriage with him.. well she just desided to start making all the plans for a wedding a month before he broke it off saying that he never asked her but she ask him and that's not really what he wanted.. so my best friend asked me to be the maid of honor of her wedding cause her sister cant step foot into a church because of her religion, but i am not helping with anything and what is the point of being a maid of honor if you arent doing anything. She told me last week that her bridal shower is when i am on vacation and she told me that i didnt have to be there. What should i do, the wedding is in two months and i keep telling her i want to help with things but she tells me not to worry about it?

I cannot stand to be touched by my sweetie. I love him but I am constantly wondering what is wrong with me. I wonder if I can really live with him. He's always pushing me to think deeply about things before I act or speak. He is positive and supportive of anything I want to do. He teases me when I panic about things (and then he calms me down and comforts me.) But I am freaked about marrying him 3 weeks from now. I don't know how to get rid of the feeling that I should run away screaming! Help?
