If you want the destination wedding, then have it with the family and friends who can make it to the wedding. Later on, have an at home reception for people who couldn't make it to the destination. It's the best of both worlds!

I think weddings are important but they do only last one day. Your family and friends will be there forever, so take that into consideration when you make your choice. Destination weddings can be perfect. Consider having a wedding at home with everyone and then going to your special place for the honeymoon. Some places offer special wedding packages, which you could have a small ceremony while you are there. You'd get the pictures you want, and wouldnt have to spend all the money of actually having two weddings.

if you really want to go away then just take immediate family and have a big party or reception when you come home. i bet they would if they had the money but its too hard. its like when people want bridesmaids dresses and the bridesmaids dont have the money ya know? good luck!
