i told my bf i didnt want to have sex anymore before marriage... either he marries me or we dont get physical.. i was sweet and polite abt it and told him the religion point of view too.. he thought i had changed very suddenly and am sure he is upset with me not coz i stopped this but coz it hurt his ego in some way.. now i am wondering.. why wud he take that so personally when i did it for God and he knows that?

intimate relationship. We are not physical in any way yet our conversations have on many occassions led us down a path that would be considered an emotional affair by some. I know that we both carry feelings for each other that would be considered more than just friendly. Where things start to get complicated is that he set me up with a friend of his a few years ago who I have been seeing very infrequently for about 2 years. Neither of us were really looking for anything serious but I started to develop stronger feelings for him and said that we couldn't be physical unless we were dating. He emailed me this weekend to invite me to attend a banquet with him this coming weekend. I have been waiting for 2 years for an email along these lines. The trouble is now that this banquet is also for my best friend. He will be there and he gets so jealous when I am with another man - even though he shouldn't. I don't know whether to risk upsetting him by going or should I skip this banquet?

Hi! well, i'm 18 years old, and i really like this guy, i think he's in his 30s.. the age difference between us wont be less than 15 years. i'm quite hot, i believe so 'cause ive been told that by lots of guys my age.. i get asked out and stuff, i usually say no when i knw that it wont work out because i dont wanna hurt anybody, ive always been attracted to older guys. specially this guy, since the first time i saw him.. he is amazing, i doubt he noticed me, because usually when i'm around him, i'm in a huge group of people. anyway, as i said before lots of guys find me attractive, but ive never approached a guy before, i'm a bit shy.. specially when it comes to someone this old, it can be really intimidating, so any suggestions on how i can grab his attention?i do have his email, should i send him msgs from time to time? and then tell him that it's me?

I met a lovely man on a dating website 2 months ago and things have been going really really well. However I have a secret, although i'm working at a school I'm working as a volunteer teaching assistant and he thinks I'm getting paid. I know its not a big secret but I feel I am betraying him, I'm only on benefits, i'm at college training to be a teaching assistant and working to gain the experience. Do you think I should be honest with him and blurt it out or should I keep quiet and hope I get a paid job soon before he notices?

My fiancée broke up with me in early June, after 3 ½ years of dating. Needless to say I was completely devastated and extremely depressed. She stated that she needed to find herself and needed to find her individuality. We tried to stay friends over the summer, but it just made it worse for her, and then one day she told me that she needed NO CONTACT WITH ME. It seemed like a harsh punishment considering I loved her , and until she broke up with me, she treated me like gold and was extremely loving/ In late September, I tried Match.com on a whim. And live in NYC ,so I dated a few girls and then met a gorgeous girl named Lindsay. In the last month we have been seeing each other a lot and everything seems to be going great, but I still miss my fiancée more than anything,we had so much in common and I really loved her. And what is worse is Lindsay lives across the street from my fiancee’s apartment building. I need help!!!!

(*all names changed*) Ok, well last night I was at my confirmation class and my friend, Kevin, was sitting next to me. We were talking and I guess we were flirting a lot, my friend said to me "Katie, you have a bf, Kevin, back off." And then, well we were like really close, if nobody knew us, they would've thought we were "together". Then we started talking about how I have a problem with people touching my legs. And he was like "ok, so, if i do this *puts his hand on my thigh* you dont like it? even though I've known you for at least 9 years?" When he placed his hand on my thigh, I felt a "spark", a "shock" that went up my entire leg. It was way to weird. Then that night I was listening to Everytime We Touch by Cascada...wow...I've known him since I moved to this town...And like, I have never felt that "spark" with any guy, not even my bf...It was weird, and now I'm getting these second thoughts about him...
What does that mean when I feel that "spark"? Or is it nothing?

I'm a guy, early 30s, great job, good looking, love to meet new people and love making people laugh. Whenever I go on a date, I act myself, have an easy-going light conversation, but after a couple of dates, there really isn't much else that's "new" to talk about. I feel like I'm the one that has to keep the conversation going while the girl just sits there looking pretty and expects to be entertained. I hate that! And when I show interest in a girl by complementing her (which I try to do in a subtle way), I notice that the same girls who were nervous around me -or- seemed interested in me suddenly act like they have the upper hand or start flaking out. What can I do to sustain their interest during dates? What do guys talk about on the 4th, 5th, 6th dates? I enjoy doing typical things like movies, theater, hanging out, etc. Also love cooking and traveling and have cooked at home for girls in the past. But after the initial dates, how do I show/sustain interest in a subtle way?

My boyfriend and I of 11 years with a four year old son have decided to give each other space. He moved out a couple of days ago and it was a mutual decision. We fought alot over everything and we were not getting along at all. It was starting to affect our son and each other so we decided to make this decision. We've never seperated before and we told each other that we needed to see if we were happier together or apart. Am really down in the dumps all because of my rubbish boyfriend. On Saturday I had the worst migraine of my life and we had a bit of a row because I always feel like I am at the bottom of the list of his priorities for various reasons. Things got a bit heated on the phone and he really hurt my feelings by saying I sound like a loon and that I should get some friends or a hobby. He also said he feels like he has to justify everything he does to me. He backtracked straight away and said he didn’t mean it like and was all grovelly straight away – but that really hurt my feelings!
Anyway things calmed down and I was too ill to care anyway. Then on Sunday it was our anniversary and he was working all weekend and he said we should do something Sunday. We talked about it a couple of times and I said I would like to go for a meal because we never do - and I know it sounds stupid but our first anniversary was important to me. Anyway Sunday comes and he says he’s had a hellish day and can’t face going out for a meal so we end up in the pub watching footy and having a roast dinner which I had to go and buy( again) before the shops shut. Needless to say I was not best pleased and really disappointed – I was really looking forward to him doing something special for me for a change and it really hurt my feelings – he just doesn’t care. I was really quiet all night ( I didn’t want a row) and he started getting worried, turning it round like he was the victim because he can’t help it if he has to work and has no money etc etc. Was I going to dump him? Etc. It’s funny how he always finds money to go the pub. Then he said we can do something next Saturday “as long as I am not going to be in a mood”.
Is it me – do I need to lighten up or have I got every right to be upset about this? It’s getting so painful for me – I really do love him and they say actions speak louder than words – he doesn’t have to tell me he doesn’t love me, I know he doesn’t, that’s what hurts so much. I can tell as well he doesn’t really want to commit and move in with me either – the plan was after Xmas and now he is going on about us going on holiday in February, he has not intention of saving up for a deposit and when he talks about where he lives it’s as if he intends to be there for the foreseeable future.
As usual he is being the best and attentive boyfriend today, calling me up, buying nice things for dinner tonight etc. But he does this all the time and soon goes back to being selfish and thoughtless.
Is there any hope here? He is 32!

Okay basically... My girlfriend's dad ended our relationship... I got to talk to her on the phone for 5 minutes that night, and she said that she still loved me and would wait till we could get back together, even if it meant a long time... Then gradually she stopped talking to me... Until two weeks ago(ish) she sent me a message that said "It's over. Forever. Final. No ifs." So I have no idea what's going on? She hasn't communicated anything to me... We both go to the same church and have a lotta the same friends, but I surrendered the friends to her, since she doesn't wanna be around me, I just stay away... Now I hardly have any friends, and the ones I did stay in contact aren't really hanging out with me anymore.... Ah! I dunno what to do... Do you have any idea why?

she was in my math class last year and i joked around a lot with her last year. This year she isnt in my classes, and i've said hi to her, she thinks im clowny but last year told me its a good thing to be funny. How should i start talking to her if there is no reason really, she's not in my classes and if i dont do anything neither does she.
