So, there's this girl I have liked since 8th grade (I'm a junior now) and a while ago I asked her to homecoming and she said no and I know now that she has never liked me that way and never will because she directly told me (we're REALLY good friends now). I regard us mostly as friends, but since we're such close friends she'll do things like sit on my lap or dance w/ me at homecoming, and it just drives me crazy! Why do I still like her even though I know she'll never like me and never has? How can I move on?

I am ending a 41/2-year relationship with my boyfriend, due to cheating on several occassions.
Although, I am strong on my decision, I am also nervous about being on my own again without his assistance.
I am leaving the new home that we purchased together, because I am unable to afford it on my own.
Our children are going to come with me.
We are splitting and ending things in a very civil manner and he respects my decision.

I am rusty when it comes to meeting new guy friends.
Any advice or ideas or what or where to go. (living in Houston)
I signed up on a couple of single web-sites, but it really is not my taste for meeting new friends.
I'm 28, and really thinking about seeing more mature guys.
**I am not looking at all to jump right into a new relationship, but just to have a few guy friends. I have been exclusively with this one guy for the past 41/2 years.**

Okay so I know that a lot of ppl out there might not have the same views as I do but I would like your opinion on something. I as a christian believe in courtship vs dating. I think that responsibilities and views that courtship puts forth allow young ppl and those who are ready to be married to make wise decisions based on pure love as opposed to the sexual clutter of this world. I would like to know your opinion on it as to why you see that courtship is either a plus or a negative in your opinion. I realize that some ppl cringe at the thought of this subject but I would love some honest answers and feedback as to why you feel the way you do. Thank you for all your help, this will be aiding me in a speech I am to be giving to my fellow peers @ my high school. God Bless!

When we first started dating he bragged about how good he was at it and how he loved doing it, he did it for me a few times.. then just stopped. I asked him about it and he said it's because I don't "speak up." I told him that I shouldn't have to ask for it. I perform oral sex on him all the time without him having to ask. Besides, if he actually WANTED to do it.. he would just do it on his own. I wash very well and I am shaved down there, so I don't see what the problem is!

I have to attend this conference in this city that's about 2 hours away from where we live.. I have to stay there for three days and he doesnt want me to go!!

I really want to go because it would be fun and a good opportunity..

He is nice guy, cares for other people, cares alot for me..
but when we have really bad arguments he hits me not in a way that could kill me but he still hits me punches me in my arm or pushes me or grabs me real ugly.. and things like that...
and when i start crying he asks for forgiveness and says he loves me that he is sorry.. i leave him for a couple of days
but always end up back with him.. iam scared of getting married to someone who hits me .. i feel like my life is miserable... i try to get away from him but i can't he follows me everywhere he waits for me outside when i get out of school or work, til i talk to him... i want him to get some help because i really love him and i know he has a problem.... but i want to help him out...but i know i wont get married to him till i know he is safe to be with
