I think you have it a little bit wrong----she likes you not just the way you want which is romantically.Since she feels that you understand the platonic nature of her interest in you , she is comfortable doing those things (sit on your lap, lap dance) which unfortunately drive you crazy.Feelings, especially romantic ones, are not easy to ignore and you can not turn them off and on like you do a faucet.Hence your continued interest in her and your desire for her. But if your romantic feelings are still that strong and her actions impact you forcefully, maybe you can take another shot at her and let her know just how much you love her.She may reciprocate this time, but you have to be willing to take the chance that you may lose her completely----no friendship, no nothing.Or you can cut her off and give your self an opportunity to get over her. I know there are no simple answers here but love has always being complicated---bitter sweet.I truly wish you well for I am a romantic at heart and I can understand the pain and confusion you currently feel.Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

You said that she would sit on your lap and dance with you like that? Well, I think she doesn't want you but she doesnt want to lose you either because it makes her feel good when she knows that you are there for her always. You need to move on. How do you do that? Distance yourself from her. I am not saying ignore her completely because you said that you are good friends. Theres other girls out there.. it might be hard at first but trust me, you will so much better. You cant move on because you still think that she's the best girl our there. There are other girls that are sweet, caring and kind. The ones that wouldn't play with your emotions. Good luck!

you still like her cause you love her. but if she doesn't give you the love that you want her to give just look for someone that you can eventually learn to like and then to love. don't give yourself a false hope cause it will hurt you deeply. just stay away from her for a while and go with the other girls..you two are not for each other cause she can just offer you her frienship.

stop being REALLY good friends with her. don't let her sit on your lap, ect. act uninterested, she will stop playing around with you, then you can do a sneak attack and karate chop her neck and knock her out cold, then you know the rest.
