Singles & Dating - 2 October 2007

So today I had a post-graduate job interview for a position I really wanted and I am staying in the DC area as opposed to the New York area where I'm from, one of the reasons being that I want to stay near my bf.

So on the phone today he asked my how my interview was and said it sounded like it went well and wished me good luck and such.

But then he started saying, you know, I hope you realize that it's a tough job and you could be working almost 60-80 hours a week during the end of the fiscal year. And it almost sounded like he was being negative and said I should really think about whether or not that is is what I want.

So should I be mad at him because I feel like he's putting me down for a job I really want? Like, I understand there could be long hours but I think it will be worth it. Or is he just giving his honest opinion and I should listen to what he has to say?

What do you think? I know he wants to stay with me after college so it's not like he's trying to push me away..

im 20 and guys are so SHOCKED when they find out im a virgin!!! why is that??? i met a guy really fell for and i told him i wanted him to be my first, even though i had a feeling he really didnt want anything serious. i was in denial because i really liked him and i knew he liked me too. But..... he didnt even try to which was good but really weird too most guys i met would jump at that!!! he told me he cares about me. but he said basically said in the begining he wanted to just mess around then he changed his mind, never brought it up and never tried. Then i quit calling and he would ride past my job and look at me then he texts me to make sure im not mad at him.

I have a guy friend who is dating someone who I don't trust, and I heard from another friend that she saw her making out with another person. I told him about it, and he asked his gf about it and she told him that she didn't, yet I don't believe it. Now he's mad at my friend for supposedly lying. I was wondering if there is a way that maybe I could get her to tell me if she did or did not cheat on him. She is one of those people who likes to tell just about anyone everything. And I've heard that she cheated on some of her ex-boyfriends.

i've been with my bf for 9 months and i really really care about him. Problem is he just doesn't seem as into me anymore. He'll go all week or a couple weeks in a row without making plans and is calling wayy less.. maybe its just me but i think when i talk to him he looks at me differently. I really really care about him and am thisCLOSE to being in love with him. I know he likes me and all but i think its in a diffferent way than i like him.
I think he likes me if its convenient but isn't really in it for the love.. which is something I WANT.

Also i've been considering but still not lost my virginity to him.

And lately i've been debating whether to break it up with him.

ITs soooo hard but i've just been miserable.. i need to know he cares or not but he can't keep dragging me around like this half dead..

I met a guy about a year ago and we hit it off. He lived about fourty minutes away from me- we were both still in high school without our liscenses so we met up once for a movie. That summer he left for college and now is about six hours away. I am still in high school. We have talked online almost every night for a year now and have rly come to know each other. He is coming home from college for the first time in a month- it has been 2 months since he left for college. I have not been in a realationship before so i am thinking that this is not a good situation for my first relationship. I really feel a connection with him but i have only seen him once. Help!

He kept telling me to shut up and he kept making fun of me. So i told him to F*** off. he said the same to me but we both said it with stars in text, and then i called to say something, but before my mouth could move he started laughing and said you told me to f off, and i got really offended, and it was like he was kidding around, but then he hung up. i was sooooooo mad. and i kept calling him.

two weeks ago, a guy I was dating for 2 months says he just wants to be friends. It was 2 amazing months for both of us. We had amazing chemistry and a great friendship was developing. Just when things were about to go to the next level, he pulls back and says let's just be friends, I respect you too much, I just don't have enough time to devote to anything more than friendship right now. I was sad but accepted it. We parted on very good terms. Problem is, he keeps calling me, texting me, to say hello, asks me about my day, etc. like nothing ever happened. Why won't this guy give me some space? HE broke up with ME but why isn't he letting go?? Help!

i have been with this guy since i was 16. yes we went through it all. i cheated on him once and he forgave me. i know he loves me i know he does. on feb 09, he asked me to marry him, i was elated, happiest girl you know. we are to be married on nov10 and now that the time is drawing near am getting worried.

am 21 am ready to be married. do i need a little more experience. do married people still have fun. will he still take me to clubs and movies on sundays.

I met some girl in a chat room the other day and she kept calling me fat and saying i'm 5'10, 120 pound's guy's love girl's like me. Well i'm 5'5 190 pound's with alot of muscle on me i work out every day, i wear a 14-15 and my stomach even though it has some fat on it is flat and my bra size is 36D. I'm around 5'4", give a couple of more centimeters. I just don't feel 'sexy' or whatever enough compared to the taller girls. Their bodies are long and usually lean and most of fashion is aimed towards them so I feel kinda stupid putting on a lot of the jeans in the stores. Plus my torso looks short and I dunno. It just doesn't look appealing to me. This affects my self-esteem so... I dunno.

Guys, what's the ideal height for a female? Can someone at my stature still look beautiful physically?

Well she sort of slipped on the first 4 steps in the stairwell and landed on her butt, nothing major. It was hilarious how she reacted. She turned beet red and looked around so paranoid and acted so serious! I sort of "teased" her by saying, "Awww poor baby! Is the widdle baby gonna cwy (in baby talk)?" Then she kicked me in the balls pretty hard and when she saw me laying there THEN she was like "oh I'm so sorry, blah, blah, blah! I didn't mean too!" I mean come on! How can you NOT mean to nail a guy in the nuts! Anyways, she is pretty crazy and likes to do stupid things like this once in a while. I thought she was getting revenge but I guess she was sincere when she was saying sorry. So long story short, that night she sort of apologized again and then she said the unthinkable...she was going to offer me a BJ to make up for it. I didn't think she was serious because she tends to kid around a lot, but I think she was serious! I told her I would get back to her. Should I accept?

I personally don't see myself as really being that short. I've been told many times that I'm 'cute' or 'adorable', whatever that means. But I'm starting to realize that height might be a huge problem. If this so, should I approach women of what height?

I do realize that there are many other factors involved, but just focusing on purely physical appearance.

But i don't want to tell him, and there is this party type thing coming up in a few months and i don't know if i want to go with him or my friends. He's so cute! But I've barely said more than 20 words to him ever. I can't stop thinking about him, but I'm to shy to approach him. My friend won't tell me who he likes and it's torturing me. I have been dating a guy for what will be a year in November. Everything has been going real well. On September 18th he just disappeared, didn't call, didn't return my calls and then out of the blue on the morning of October 1st he re-appeared with a text message saying "Good morning! Have a great day!"

i used to really like my bf and weve only been going out for three weeks, and i already want to get rid of him. i dont feel the same way i used to. i also kind of like this other guy.

my bf is kind of irritating. he follows me everywhere, when i told him he doesnt have to. i see him everyday in most of my classes so i dont want him to hate me. Ive never broken up with a guy b4 because he is my first. i have know idea what to do. please help.

oh yeah and is it weird that i wanted to go out with this guy for months and i finally got him and i dont want to anymore. is that weird.

i feel really bad.

but this other guy is really sweet. but hes only in my art class. he comes and sits on my chair with me and helps me with my artwork. im pretty sure he likes me, but he does all this in front of my bf. i just got off the phone with my boyfriend cause he hung up on me. he said he was stressed about somethings and i wanted to try to help. but he wouldnt tell me anything but he would talk to other people about it. and he wont accept my help at all cause he says he has to much pride.
i told him that makes me feel like i cant help or be talked to, like im not even there; so whats the point of me?
it really kills me when i cant help people that need help but dont want my help and i guess he doesnt understand that.
so did i say the wrong thing? cause now he wont talk to me cause he says i made him feel like sh*t. but all im tring to do is help, and he wont accept it.
