But i don't want to tell him, and there is this party type thing coming up in a few months and i don't know if i want to go with him or my friends. He's so cute! But I've barely said more than 20 words to him ever. I can't stop thinking about him, but I'm to shy to approach him. My friend won't tell me who he likes and it's torturing me. All the clues she gave me were pointing sort of at me and sort of at her. I really want to know, but she keeps on forgetting to ask the guy that told her if it's ok if she tells me. Please help. Anything useful would be appreciated

If your interested in him, you should just go woo him. Why scared whether he is interested in you?
Approach him for a date, and if he is interested in going, there's a likely chance! I know your shy, but sometimes, you just have to get things going.
Using your friends as source can be good and bad too.
1) Either they are trying to fool you, by creating a rumour. Or
2) They are telling you the truth.
Get information from a more reliable source if you ever need to, that is, a good friend whom you trust, or even the guy's best friend.

Your friend is not very nice. If I was you I would just talk to the guy. The worst he could do is say no and the best he could do is say he likes you too. Perhaps she is jealous?
