we weren't ever a couple. i did tell him that it had to end because it was hurting to much to not know what he wanted. i told him i would see other people. we didnt talk right after, because we needed a break from the emotional stress it caused. and since are remaining friends.

Awww i'm sorry to hear that happened!
i've had something almost like that happen to me.
well i think that you should tell him something like:
"hey, i hve a boyfriend now, how's your love life going?"
do you have a girlfriend?"

and ask him is he likes anyone..

that;s what i would do, but anyways, good luck to you girl :)

Let me ask you if you don't believe a guy you dated for a year deserves to hear you say it's over.Do you think your my space is the best forum to let him find out ( or maybe not find out).If the shoe were on the other foot ,would you be okay and happy if a guy treated you in the exact same way. While there is nothing wrong with you finding a new guy you are happier with, don't forget your ex is a human being with feelings who may still love you and think you are still a couple.Your new guy may decide in about a year that he no longer wants you and elects to let you know in the same way.Don't build a new romance on someone else's pain. Tell your ex that you no longer love him, that you are in love with someone else, that you are sorry for any pain you are causing him, that you did not plan for it to end this way, and you hope he can find a new love interest. Don't forget the 11th commandment which says "do unto others as you want done to you" as well as karma which says what goes around comes around. I hope you can appreciate all I have been trying to tell you and do the right thing.Good luck in your new romance.

what's holding you back from telling him? is it because you still wants to make him like you? if that's the case, i advise you to tell. because this would then be fair for your friend AND your boyfriend now. Since you've cleared things out with him before, i'm sure telling him again wont hurt. (=

Don't, there is no reason for you to tell him specifically. If he finds out on his own thats cool, but if you tell him straight up it might hurt more.
