Girls with braces understand that they have them for their health and future good looks. I wouldn't let a guy worry you if he thinks you are weird/ugly looking. Trust me if your dentist has suggested it, then it's something you should do. Get it over and done with, and you'll forget any shallow comments made by guys. They are pretty immature or dumb for not realising that you are looking after yourself.
