doesn't it seem like most girls are doing this now to impress boys rather than because they are doing it for themselves. It kind of grosses me out. If you do it for you - cool - whatever, but when you do it to impress your guy or even worse - some random guy - I think it's nasty...and reeks of low self-esteem.

Towards the begining of last year my boyfriend and i broke up for a week. When we got back together we assured each other that we had not seen anyone during the split. A month ago i found out that he slept with someone during the break and supposedly got her pregnant. He knew for two months that she was pregnant and didnt tell me (my sister found out and had to threaten him to tell me). I forgave him and let him stay. Just found out today she is going to have the baby this week. The circumstances are that my boyfriend and the girl are not 100% positive it is his as she was sleeping with other people. I asked him to have the paternity test the day after the baby is born. He is saying he will do it on his own terms (which means 2 weeks to a month). I am upset about all this as i want this taken care of as soon as possible and was wondering if i had a right to be upset and what would anyone else have done? He keeps telling me that this is not my place to tell him what needs to be done.

I recently met this guy, he is 22 and I'm 30. He is a really nice guy, however, he is really young. I went on a date with him yesterday and he seems to be mature and turned out to be a total gentleman! Now I'm kinda weirded out, because I would like to go out with him again...should I continue dating him or should I jsut stop while I'm ahead???

I was thinking I should change the spelling of my name, which was recorded as "asma" (in french) to "essma" (the right way to pronoune it) , so that professors and other people stop calling me aZma.. the thing is I'm only here for another year (I will graduate next year hopefully) then I will go back home. I might come back to America later on but that's an option, and I'm not sure.. My name is making me a bit too concious and embarassed, especially the first day of class when professors read the attendance sheet (the university refuses to change anything in the spelling) or when someone has to read from a legal paper I always have to put up with surprised faces and looks and sometimes with immature kids in college who just laugh at it very openly... but in the same time the hassle is just not encouraging me to do this.. I don't know what to do..

I was talking to a friend of mind a few weeks ago and he made this comment to me, "I would never date you! You are to pretty. I need to be with a women that has a little something wrong with her." Well... I'm Vietnamese and the girl I like is hispanic. We never talk to each other, but see each other on the same bus about 3 times a week for almost a year now. I'm afraid to look at her because I don't want to look separate and stare at her because she's just beautiful. So I just read this, and, as a guy it's sickening. The gist of it is that while she likes a gentleman some of the time, sometime it annoys her because she feels it's ultimately just a means to achieve the same end, to get in the pants.

I said that we are all in it to procreate, ultimately, that that is the true nature of our sex drive. Further, in terms of love and companionship, that THAT is why I choose to treat a woman I am with with respect at all times.

So, is this confusing to anyone else, to hear, "I want a good guy, a guy who respects me, but not all the time because his efforts to get in my pants become so transparent that it unsettles me"?

What the hell? If we're supposed to treat you women with respect and disrespect alternately, would you mind telling us when you're in the mood for each so I don't bore you with cheaply veneered, blatent attempts to concquor you?

So basically I'm a junior this year and my boyfriend is going to college 2 hours away. We love each other very much so we want to conserve our relationship and not mess it up or anything. He's been getting advice that we should break up so there wont be any hurt feelings slash hatred for each other if we do break up for some reason in college. We have dated for several months and have even talked about living together. I care about him but not nearly as much as he does about me. All I hear is "I love you". He is a good person, BUT I am over 30 years old, I have just come through a divorce and bankruptcy- I am struggling to get back on my feet and am thinking strongly about planning my future, saving, buying a house, and retirement. My boyfriend works at a fast food place a few days a week. I haven't asked him how much he makes, but it can't be much. He saves nothing and spends it all on video games and DVD's. On top of all of that, he doesn't have a drivers license. He is very immature in most ways, but when it comes to treating me with love and respect, he is great.

There is also another guy that says he "loves" me... Who has loads of money, savings,etc. But I don't "love" back. I almost feel like it would be worth it to give him a shot. I need a future, but I'm lost. I guess it's love or money. Advice?

Last year I met a man who as I got to know, developed strong feelings for. I've never felt about someone like this before and my feelings are still strong.
However, I recently discovered that he is having an affair with a married friend of mine. I feel absolutely sickened; angry that either would consider a relationship, jealous because they clearly love each other a lot, and sad because I can never tell him how I feel.
