Marriage & Divorce - 6 October 2006

I got out of a horrid marriage this year( we were seperated for almost two years before divorce finalized). My new guy is really great!! We have been together for alittle over a year and we are sooooo happy. Now he is talking marriage and I am unsure if I am ready. He said he will wait but will I ever be ready is my concern. What should I do???? I prefer suggestions and commentary from women or men in this situation or a similar situation. Hell, any idea would be helpful right now.

This is a serious question; it is not meant as a joke. If you don't know the answer, please do not post insulting answers. And no, I am not Gay however, I believe there are many people, myself included, who do not understand the legal issues (wills, property, children, etc) which would result if Gays were allowed to
marry..legally. Or, if legalized, if it would simply mirror the same issues as we find in a heterosexual marriage.

Two months ago, when I first confronted my wife with emails I found, she ripped up the printed copies immediately! She then told me, the "he was a friend" and she had gone over the top with flirtation evident in the emails I found. She is very tight lipped about it and when I bring it up she says that I need to let it go, to move on. But I have found other evidence that concerns me. Lyrics written in the middle of the ?affair? suggesting she might love someone but had too much to lose. etc...Since i caught her, she has had supposedly NO contact with him, like that was normal for their relationship. The emails were many, and she deleted all her emails aferward.
She even has the number to his 2nd home on her cell. Friends.
To me, friendships do not end on a dime...affairs. I need to know the truth.. no details..just the truth...I will not play second fiddle!

Would you feel the same? Do you think she should be more honest in light of the circumstances?

what makes a man think that these hateful women will make good mothers and wives. why do they figure out only after the deed is done that it was a mistake to breed with these women. Sex is one thing, Breeding is a forever. you might as well cut of your b**ls and gift wrap them for her to hang from her rear-view mirror. If bagging it is not an option , then flip her over and do it in the other door. why , why, why? Not to mention the fact that I believe children to be the number one cause of divorce. Is there anyone else out there who feels the same way?

I have a friend who left his wife and they are discussing divorce. She has been keeping his daughter away from him unless he gives her money, so he decided to take the baby who is 1 1/2. They have no custody agreement or seperation agreement. He has told her he is keeping the baby from her until they go to court, is this considered parental kidnapping. I have done some searching online and it doesn't look like he has broken any laws, but I am not sure. Any help on this would be great.

My husband is in the Marine Corp and has muster today at 12 noon. When we woke up he said he had to leave at 9am to do some work at the base and get his uniform ready. Well while in the shower he wanted to be intimate but I was reminding him of how he needed to go, but he said he could do his work at a later time. Had we of not of been intimate he would have left at 9am, and when I stopped things he just left the house like it was nonthing. It makes me feel like he just wanted sex...like that was all it was about for him. Am I right? I wanted a special moment but felt cheated somehow like I was being used....he said he was just trying to have a nice romantic moment with me, but with him just leaving so easily makes me feel like it was all about him and the possiblity of him getting off. Can someone help me to understand what happened and what this was about?

I knew she had the pictures, but I never thought she'd threaten to put them on the internet. This would ruin my marriage, and people would see me differently. I'm not ashamed of them, but they were supposed to be private. I swore I would never let others see the pictures I took of her. She's mad because I won't get back together with her.
