Aftera failing bus & losing loads of money my husband and i both got good jobs. I couldn't believe our luck - I thought finally we could make up for lost time. Then back in April after my husband told me all the money that had been disappearing from out accout (about $1200/month) he'd been spending on booze & drugs & lately a counsellor he'd found in town (at $80/time-he'd told me it was bus. expenses & would be paid back) Said he didn't know if he loved me or what he wanted. I put it down to depression after losing the bus etc. Things seemed to settle for a while, but he could see his job was finishing then I realised in the last 2 months he's "spent" $3300. Obviously I'd asked, & once again he promised it was work related. Well, he fessed up when I told him I wasn't stupid - drugs, booze & I don't know what else. I'm sure there's more to it. He says he feels like a failure, cant provide etc but he WILL NOT talk to me about it. We have 2 kids (11 & 15) I'm gutted by the lies

First, let me say that I am a heterosexual woman and I am married to a heterosexual man. I realize that we live in a predominantly Christian nation but we are also a democracy which allows all race and religions to be accepted so I don't understand why same sex marriage has to be a problem. There are religions in the U.S. that have no problem with same sex couples and allowing them to be married. Why force Christian beliefs on a nation of many beliefs? It really has no effect on us if they are allowed to be married except for our own personal and religious morals and ethics; but they are ours and not theirs.

Think about the fact the devout Mormons don't drink caffeinated drinks...if Mormonism was the predominant religion; would we ban all caffeinated drinks? Yes this is a little different but the same in some way. We would be banning something that one religion didn't agree with, when society as a whole is more diverse than that.

Why disallow it when it only hinders your morals?

I have cought her red handed on several lies about different things so I dont trust her, she admitted to haveing a sex relation with a guy friend of hers when she told me she was going to have a father-daughter day with her dad. She now lives seperate from me saying its just untill she saves the money to buy us a house. she lives rent free in her ex-husbands house and says he dont live there yet my daughter at age 5 says he does because i have her with me she spends the week-ends with her. I have to call first before ever going over there. I been there once and didnt see any proof a guy living there but I didnt look behind closet doors or in any pantries such as bedroom droors. This is really bugging me because I do think I love her but I dont want to stick around if its going to lead to another time her having sex behind my back.

Poor Daddy.....she acts like it is all my fault. He was not the perfect Dad by no means....in fact, he didn't even want her when I told him I was pregnant with her. Why? She doesn't even want to live with me after the divorce is final because she doesn't want Daddy to be alone and sad. Why is this happening? It really hurts me. I have been a good mother and been there for her for ll yrs. now....I feel second fiddle and second best.

My ex-gf just got together with another guy and now she's happy, which makes me kind of depressed but still happy that she's happy, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a song that relates to this kind of situation.

I saw the divorce coming for about 5 years, since i was 17. My brother, who is 12, only found out 2 days before my father moved out three weeks ago. My parents are still on good terms, my father just moved down the street, so he sees my bro every day almost, but apparently my bro is withdrawing and has quit his extracurriculars and just secludes himself in his room. I am not living in the same state anymore so I can't be there for him in person. It's driving me nuts. My mom took him to therapy, but he didn't want to go back after the first time, and the doctor said not to force him.

Is there anything else I can do to help him through this? I've told him its something that happens all the time, and that he's lucky that our dad is still nearby and on good terms with our mom. I told him it was normal to be sad, but not to let it overwhelm him because it could be worse. Is there anything else I can do to help him through this?

I have been with my boyfriend for only a few months, but i see stability in our future together. We both are looking for a long term relationship, and I think he is the one that I want to be with. I just found out that he needs to update his status as an immigrant, but he doesnt have a green card yet. I want to marry him so that he wont worry about it, but i am not sure if that will hurt our beautifully blossming relationship, or make us even closer. So should I marry him?

I recently got married in May and my husband is an easy going and benevolent guy. He's been really irascible lately. Two weeks ago after work he was really horny but I was tired. He pushed me against the wall and shoved his hands up my shirt. I pushed him and he backed off saying "what the f**k is wrong with you?!". Yesterday I was complaining about him leaving his clothes everywhere and he blatantly ignored me b/c he was so immersed in a football game. I got the remote and turned off the tv and he was furious. He pried the remote out of my hand and raised his hand up to hit me but he put it back down. I told my mom but I dont want to listen to her obsolete ways of thinking (men are dominant etc.) Im not afraid of him but things can escalate. What do you think I should do? Genuine answers plz.

Today, our 5 year anniversary, he signed the card "Luv, Rich."

This makes me realize what I've been suspecting...he does not LOVE me. He LUVS me. But LOVE is what you need for marriage to work.

I want a divorce right now, but I'm nervous to tell him. How do I?

So I just got married about 9 months ago legally, but we didn't have our hindu marriage. Essentially, I got married so my fiance could get her paperwork in and get her life started in America. She is from New Zealand. Things went terribly south in the last few months, with her disrespecting me and my family and deciding to run away from my house because it seems as if she was looking more for a lifestyle than for love. She didn't want to live in the situation we were in at that time, and not willing to understand. So the whole time, I tried to get her back, and she was stubborn. She really cast me in a bad light--I am not perfect, but I also did not treat her badly enough to warrant this behaviour. Her father, got involved and did not hear both sides of the story. Things went south fast. So she's gone back to NZ, and her father is preparing to send the papers. She sends me hate emails, but then says she loves me. I am tired of the instability. I never told her to leave...
