My guess is she has poor judgement, and she does not look past the "now" feelings of emotional and physical satisfaction.

I would also suggest that she has self esteem issues, possibly grabbing on to the first man that makes her feel good because she doesn't feel she deserves better.

She also may be the type that when things get rough, she runs for the lawyers instead of working it out.

She could be the type to pyramid alimony.

She's sees marriage as confirming that men still desire her. So she repeats it over and over.

There really are a myriad of explanations and theories and I could go on and on but each individual is unique and there is no 'textbook' answer.
