Marriage & Divorce - 15 September 2006

He grates on my every nerve. He is smothering. We've been together for over 10 years. I feel like I am dead inside. I don't think I love him anymore. It is frustrating, because he is so nice. Why do I feel this way? Why can't I love him anymore? I find myself wishing I was single again.

I am posting this without knowing if "he" will see it.....I miss you, I want to hear your voice so badly. I keep calling and nothing....I know, I know, take a hint. I just can't seem to let go. Must have been those eight hours huh? I don't know how or why we ended up talking or how I fell in love with you but even though I got hurt I am still glad it happened. I just can't seem to understand why you went back to her. I hope you are happy, I really do. I am trying to be.....but just can't get you out of my head. I keep running that last conversation through my head. We would be well under 300 days by now lol. If you are reading this and understand what I am talking about....then I know I have the right person. i have been ordered to go to court from my ex wife, she wants college expenses paid for my adult daughters whom live with their boyfriends and go to college. i have been paying support for them until now and now that ive quit, my ex wants this kind of payment from me but has to go thru courts to get it. i was wondering if anyone has had this kind of experience and what the outcome was. both my daughters dont work to help themselves, dont want to work, they follow there mothers footsteps and live with boyfriend s and no they want me to pay for all this and its been going on for years bjt now since i dont have to pay support for then to the ex, she wants to get cash out of me anyway she can. help?

My father convenced me to leave my kids in Iowa and move to Arkansas. He left his kids behind in his second marriage. They have nothing to do with him at all. He has been married to my mother under nazi rule for 26 years unable to sneeze without permission, my older brother has been married twice and had three kids, one living with him as he still lives with my dad under his rule. My dad said in time I will forget the pain of loosing my kids, and I will be much happier without them. He said I should be with him the original family. That I will have less stress and less worries than if I were still living in Iowa near my kids and under my ex-wifes rule. Is he right? or is he Satan in disguise?

I know it's widely accepted for women who're professionals like attorneys, doctors, even celebs, etc.., but do you think it's ok for a "Plain Jane" to want to keep her last name (not even hyphenated) after marrying? My girlfriend is getting a divorce and her (ex) husband has started harassing me (and her other friends). He`s mad that I know his issues, because my friend came to me for support. I work with this lady, she has been married for 25 years and is now divorcing.

Why would someone be married for decades and then divorce?

After 20-30 years people have been through so much with their spouse, you would think they would be happy together forever!

I have only been married one year. We have had struggles with our intimate part of our relationship. We have been together for 4 years, and we still do the same thing when it comes to having sex. It is like a routine, I have tried to break it but he seems to do the same thing all the time. (foreplay is the same and i can say exactly what he will do and when) it is starting to get boring and feel like a chore. I want to go back to Iowa, but I am in a hole. I took a class to be a CNA and I was let go because over staffing. My dad is controling and wants me to get a job at a nursing home, I want to just get any job now so I can pay the 480 dollars for the class and to buy a car to move back to Iowa to be close to my eight year old daughter and my four year old son. Should I do what my dad says? Or should I do what I feel is right? Mind you, I have always failed at taking charge of my life. My ex-wife and my father were always the ones to tell me what to do. When I did it on my own, I failed and they let me know it. Should I just get a basic paying job, and get the Heck out of Arkansas, or should I just get a job at a nursing home and be stuck for 3 months in a contract?
